Well, I bought the Namco Virtual Arcade for the 360 and games like Pac-Man and Rolling Thunder I seem to have a hard time playing. Games like Halo 3, Midnight Club, Fallout 3 and whatnot are just fine. I definitely like the heftyness of the controller (and 360's chatpad is SO much better than the PS3's keypad) but I just wish the d-pad were more like the PS3's for classic games or games like Braid.
I love both the PS3 and Xbox 360... Both have their advantages and disadvantages. However, one area where the Xbox 360 has a major problem is it's controller. Sony had it right with their controller design ever since the original PlayStation. The Dualshock and SIXAXIS feel very comfortable. What makes the really big difference is the d-pad. This is where Microsoft really needs to do something. Playing most 2-D games is next to impossible with the 360's controller. It's all over the place! I couldn't even play a simple game of Pac-Man with that d-pad.
I'm hoping in the near future Microsoft decides to design and release a better controller, mostly in the fact of that terrible d-pad. I'd love to play 2-D games like Braid but not like this...
The D-Pad is awful on the 360 controller. I can't even play most of the game on Namco Virtual Arcade because of it. :( I hope Microsoft creates a better controller with d-pad in the near future.
The Wii thus far has been directed mainly toward the kids, parents, and elders; with very limited titles for the hardcore gamers.dark-warmachine
Agreed for the most part. This is evident in most of the titles (fitness titles, cooking games, etc.)
These are not the games most hardcore gamers are looking at or are interested in. It's the reason I also personally have no interest for the Wii whatsoever.
[QUOTE="fbigent34"] an opioion on a review is the score it gets. that dosent mean a game is bad. you really need to brush up on it. :|fbigent34
But those are opinions are widely shared. In most cases, majority rules. Game Informer magazine even had an entire article a few issues ago regarding the amount of shovelware that is available on the Wii.
I could care less it stands by reviews are person taste. that dosent make the game bad. just beacause it dosent score what sony/ms games do. first of two toally diffrent systems you comparing it to with the scores. second you're annoying it and going by people opioion on the game. i read maybe some reviews but i choose to get a game i will like nor think i will like without using ign.gamespot, gi
To each their own. I'm just quoting what many people, mostly professionals, feel about the Wii's selection of titles. I've been gaming for about three decades now and work in the industry myself, and personally I feel the same as many of my colleagues.
