Graphics aren't at a Plateau.

Until you see and play a game that looks like you have actual people acting out on a screen and you are controlling them is when you know graphics are at it's maximum.

That's sorta my point. Do you want to see that much realism? I mean FMV were big for the Sega CD, but if that's your thing....

Didn't know where to put this, but since you could make it about individual systems i put it here.

Question: Would you be satisfied games were the same graphically (use the best graphically game you can think of), but just ran better? To me, outside of simple things like AA or higher resolution, graphically games could stay the same for me. I can't imagine them being leaps and bounds better over the next 10 yrs.

Though I do want to see them run faster and more smoothly. Which shouldn't be an issue, CPU's should be much better by next gen. To me it seems the focus is now on interface Ie. Natal, Move. I don't want to say "how could games look any better than this", but the question should they bother making better graphics than now.Curious to see if you guys would be ok with basically the same GRAPHICALLY looking games just running alot better.

I made a graph for the advancement of graphics

The three spikes being Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Uncharted 2

Your Mario Paint skillz astound me. This thread should enlighten you. ha ha

I used to have a 500gb fat, before i sold it. 100 gb was games and ps3 crap. I did it mostly as an external for my PC. I stored alot of Divx movies on there. Since my PS3 is connected to my TV. I watched the movies on my big screen.

So for $420 bucks i had a 2yr old 500gb PS3. Cheapest game system ever!!

MGS4. For the fact that it's 1080p plus it has 7.1 audio. (which i believe is the only PS3 game to do so). This may be a simple thing, but considering NO other console can do this, it a pretty important feature that represents the PS3. The game also use the blueray to full capacity, pluse did single layer and multi very well. MGO frickin rocked! It had a awesome community supporting it. There are other games that can do these, but i believe MGS4 does all this together better. To represent a PS3, this game has it all.
