One of the biggest misconceptions is that people believe that any type of game that looks "cool" can make an awesome film. Little do we realize that due to video game pedegrees studios just aren't going to cash in 200 million for a video game film. The games that people want (genericly) Halo, God of war, Gears etc. Aren't going to cost 2 bucks to make in order to be faithful. Count that with the Actors, Screenwriter, etc and it's a big gamble. It's possible and will happen, but it will be hard to be of quality. Sort of the same as the Transformer films.

In my humble opinion, in order to make the perfect video game film. Baby steps, is to combine the best of video game literacy and visual design. The biggest example of this is: Grim Fandango. Script would be solid, and the director could work selling the atmosphere of it's world. Combine that with make-up and Cosume. You could have a unique experience.

What video game do you think would make an awesome movie?? How would you like to see it done?

I don't keep up with movie news, so it may already be in the works, but I would like to see Gears of War done in the style of 28 Days Later.

This is my "generalized" personal opinion. I know you can argue the following, but in my experience, (A bit more than most), with German automobiles...

Audi - Reliable, good gas mileage, a little cheaper to work on

BMW - Sporty, INSANE handling, people like to turn these into project cars (Mods)

Mercedes Benz - Very comfortable, cool tech stuff, luxury at it's finest (EXPENSIVE to work on)

Personally I am a Beamer (BMW) guy, but you can't go wrong with any of the 3.
