Ok thanks for the recommendations guys. It looks like I will just have to try Medieval Total War II: Kingdoms then, because I actually owned it for a little bit, and the graphics and battles are sooo good that you can't really pass it up. However, I just wish there was a game with that kind of quality battles, but with a Lords of the Realm 2 resource/land management to it. I looked at the Settlers games briefly, and they look interesting, but I never saw the "battle" gameplay in those games, and I like battles with lots of men. Big armies, etc. Looks like MTW II kingdoms may be my only option right now :( I'm not saying it's a bad game, cuz it's awesome in one area, but poor in resource management, building your own castles, etc. The anno 12...whatever series I havn't researched much either. Eh, just can't find a recent game like Lords of the Realm II and it's frustrating lol.
I am looking for a good medieval rts game basically. It doesn't HAVE to be rts, but I want a medieval game where I can bring more land under my control and of course with some fighting and things. Are there any recent medieval games that have come out? The last good one I played was Lords of the Realm 2. I have not tried Lords of the Realm 3 yet, but I might buy it. I also know of Stronghold Crusaders, which looks.....kind of bland graphically. And of course, Medieval II Total War, which has the best graphics imo, but there is no resource management or gaining and controlling of land as far as I know? I have seen Lionheart Kings Crusade as a recent one, but it's like Medieval II total war in that there looks to be no resource management or gaining of lands. There is a new game by Chris Sawyer called Kings and Castles, but it too looks like a set scenario that you play over and over again, and not one that can be different every time.
