You want to know why everyone lumps consoles together vs PC? Because PC beats every single one individually.

It actually because all keeping up with the consoles and handhelds is not only easier, but is cheaper than soppurting a PC. Don't even get me started on how much more games the consoles get.

Let me add that, PC also beats all the console combined in AAA's since there launch

The PC is very useful, but not so much for Gaming as genres and variety are declining, this is late into 2000, not the 90's anymore...

Because consoles are aimed towards casual people, while the PC its self is aimed towards people with a degree of knowledge regarding hardware and software. Consoles don't have to carry that burden, so that alone makes them more acceptable. Also something people need to stop doing is smashing all the consoles together to compete against PC. PC is a single platform just like the Wii, 360 and PS3.

PC is aimed towards casuals much more than consoles. For one PC are not dedicated game machines, and 90% of WoW owners only know how to play that one game for example.

Consoles go together because they are in competition, PC just likes to butt-in and take someones seat.

Yet its fanbase is still desperate for attention : (
