@ciphfer Yeah, consider Bioshock coming in March is not going to be ported to the Wii-U, perhaps Dead Space 3 will do the same, or other companies might as well skip the Wii-U due to controller gimmick issues?
@FreedomPrime Actually, I own all DMC and GOW, and yes, DMC games are challenging (specially the 3rd), I have the hard version of DMC 3 and to tell you the truth, I cursed every bit and byte of that game until I finally completed it, but it was fun to play. For GOW, those games are good and love the bloody violence of that game, but is not that challenging as DMC, like you said. I also played vanquish and bayonetta and loved both games (i prefer vanquish tho). I was referring to the fast gameplay of these type of games, regardless it is a fps or an action game, you know these games are like that, usually MGS games take your time to play and are not so action-wise but stealth and strategy.
each with its own, MGS has always been a stealth/storytelling game, If I want an action game, I would've choose Devil May Cry or God of War.
Let's think they're making a move to unknown lands and try to attract new consumers (which believe a good game is just fast-paced action and graphics... cough...COD cough..), the only reason to do this is making money out of it, so...(please give thanks this franchise is not owned by EA or Activision)
I love spending hours get past the MGS games being undetected, to then taking a rest to watch the movie-like cut-scenes while eating some popcorn and having a beverage.
Personally I prefer watching Raiden slicing some limbs in a cut-scene rather than playing as a main character in a game.
@marioismyname It is an awesome game, true to its roots.
I loved the way the character as a human transformed into one of the robot masters, nice touch. It's different from the traditional formula of acquiring the enemy's power, now to become the robot itself.
Actually videogames do good to us, it releases stress, they make our brains to make hormones that make us feel good (dopamine, endorphin, and others). They promote our hand-eye coordination skills, also promote logic skills (in some games).
To say videogames are bad because just a few crazy people start shooting at innocents is like saying sharks are a menace to human race and must be exterminated because they kill a few people.
@Kos1c Totally true, I grew up playing Mortal Kombat, 007, Call of Duty, Resident Evil, Bloody Roar, Castlevania, and many violent/bloody games, but I'm not out there shooting or killing people, that's because I know a video game is totally different of what is real life, what you do in a video game is not the same of what you do in real life even tho it may have some similarities it doesn't mean it's right to do such things in real life.
@CMakaCreative Right, I had a weird story about an evil robot who sent megaman and his friends to the past and he had to beat all the bosses of previous megaman games to get the parts of a time machine to get back in time xD. My brother helped me out into the making of that game, getting the sprites I missed, the sounds, music, skills, attacks, some story spinoffs, even quality assurance! :D
