International day...at school..???

Uh, after work today. I went to my classes. First off, let's say I like to assume all my professors are American. This is undoubtedly false. I spoke to my professors in biology and mis. One is from India and the other is from Holland. I don't mind accents. My parents have heavy accents themselves, I'm quite used to it. It's really funny seeing the faces of my fellow classmates. I don't understand him or her.

2 hours and 15 min is worth it...

My gosh. I was awake around 4am. Talking on IM sure makes you sleepy. I was talking to my friends then I went to sleep.
After I had my lovely 30 min nap. I remembered, am I not forgeting something. It hit me. Why do I have this wad of cash in my pocket. Plus, I had an ebgames flyer. I was like oh....Wii

I got there at 9am. The ebgames I headed to was in Woodbridge, where my folks live. I had to travel down there for a Wii. First off, I had a hoody, jeans, and sneakers (I technically looked like a GMU fan). Green and Gold. I was 10th in line. For me, I was thinking ok. 10 Wii coming to the first 10.

There were so many people camping out. Most of them were in their mid 40s to 50s. I felt very awkward. One of these male gamers was checking me out. I was quite tired, mind you. Not my type.

People were angry because of the cold and snow. I decided I will not leave my place. Then an announcement from the front of the line came, "excuse me. We have only 17 Wii." I thought to myself. Sweet. I got one.

The employee told us to sign a sheet with our name. He stated that he would call us one at a time. I was like cool. I went around the room. I bought myself a Wii carrying case. It's for the girls at the dorm. They're always asking me. Can we play?

Everything came to a total price of 336 dollars.  I was happy because all that pain from cold went away. I still have some money left and I'm SERIOUSLY planning to buy an Xbox 360.

I don't understand why no one wants to buy a PS3. There's so many 60GB near me. Sad.

~As always thanks for posting in my blog.

Starting from scratch...WoW

Man. Chloe likes to fall into peer pressure. Well, I'm installing The World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade. I think I'll start out with: Warrior, Rogue, and Hunter. I deleted my previous characters. O.o

Any recommendations in starting off...

~Thanks as always for posting in my blog.

Do food and games go together?

From Mom and Pop shops to companies dealing with entertainment; there have always been games.

Why do we like to mix games with food??

As a child, my family used to take me to small restaurants. In the corner of this building was a mediocre arcade with Pac Man. Even though, you were small you had this sense of curiousity. This why the machine was surrounded by children. Yes. I was one of them.

Could it be companies focusing on business? Wouldn't they like to lure adults and the children to this company? This is why we will look at two businesses.

First company: Chucky Cheese.

Chucky Cheese is the classic example of combining games with food. It not only gives a child a warm memory of playing but also of food. Quotes include, "That's good pizza." and "It's really fun." Adults bring their children for entertainment, birthday parties, and maybe to rest themselves. What Chucky Cheese taught you was winning a game gets you a prize. This is comparable to completing a game and feeling accomplished. The more games you won, the better the prize (i.e stuff animals, candy, and etc). One would think, the more I practice the better I'm at winning. This acts as the basis of gaming entertainment for the individual.

Second company: Dave and Busters

Dave and Busters paves the way for adult entertainment and at the same time caters to children. Competition has toned down as one gets older. You care more about relaxing than competiting. Having a full-time job you would like to rest. Entertainment does just that. Dave and Busters is an adult version of Chucky Cheese. Provides great food and alcoholic drinks. Even adding drinks that are similiar to a candy bar. It even reaches to inner child. You have the same format with prizes and tickets. At my, Dave and Busters the prizes include games and consoles. One would think it would be people who are older. Prizes seem to reach an older audience at the same time younger.

I guess games are everywhere.

Things are going wrong....

Yeah, life sucks. Last night I wanted to stay up for the emblem but I couldn't do so. My illness got so bad that I had headaches. The screen was kind of blury; I was only on there for 2 min before I felt woozy.

I woke up at a God forsaken time to go into Fairfax for the Doctor's visit. My head was pounding and I was shaking uncontrollably. My pulse rate was really crazy. 120 was my resting. It was funny. I usually have one doctor but there were two instead due to my symptoms.

Last part of this whole visit was taking blood. I couldn't stop shaking there and the nurse was telling me am I alright. I was thinking to myself no. Having a needle popping up and down in your arm isn't fun.

EDIT: I apologize for complaining.

Man I'm really afraid....

I hate going to the Doctor's office. I'm going there for a round of checkups, however, I'm afraid. My illness is coming back. I feel it. The problem is that I have to take medicine and stuff. Which I dislike quite a bit. It really bites when you have white coat syndrome aka afraid of doctors and nurses.

The reason..

Well, the reason I can't join the tournament is the fact that I'm really busy. Next week, especially since I''m teaching and doing orientation. Maybe the next tournament. As usual thanks.

Plus, I don't think my boss would like me playing a videogame while teaching a class. I guess the students would be happy.

I so wanna...

join a tournament. Especially, since it's a Rainbow tournment. I've been playing  with the series since it first aired in 90s. Darn it. Oh well. Next time.

Yeah, everything is fine now. It was funny. I was called by the campus to explain everything to the new students about Java programming. Funny, because I was turning and smelled of Benadryl cream. I'm better. I went to the doctor and he told me everything was fine.

No worries.

Thanks everybody for your support.

Not so nice day...

Ok. I've been hopping on to gamespot from time to time. Yeah, I visited my friend Ballston two days ago. I was so tired I crashed on her couch. Yes. I did use a blindfold this time. Wednesday, I decided to eat out for some breakfast at IHOP. I decided to vistit my folks down in Virginia. As soon as I got home, I felt really sick. It wasn't just the stomach but I'm having an alergic reaction as we speak. I dunno what I'm allergic to. :?

Stupid food!!!

Besides gaming..what are your other hobbies...

Gaming is fun and all. Yet, there is a real world outside the console...more games. I'll give you the top 10 hobbies for a gamer (remember this a joke)...

10. Hang around with other friends to discuss games and such
Well, it's hard for me to talk to girls about games. Usually, they say yuck and would rather talk to me about makeup. I've noticed guys like to discuss videogames quite a bit.

Then there's the case that males who play videogames are violent. How about females as well? It's a double standard..eh?

9. Gaming competitions
Ok. Well. Not all gamers attend these competitions. I've enetered two in my life and all have been DDR. Sad. Really. I should enter more then. No, seriously. I've been to a few Tekken tournaments and seen very few females. Believe it or not, I've also seen them win as well. It is a very enjoyable experience for both of the sexes.

8. Arcades
Wait. Doesn't that involve games? My friend works at an arcade. It's so cute to see all these young male gamers playing in there. I don't know the reason but why do they care if a female plays games. Unfortunately, my friend Sab doesn't own a console or a handheld. The truth is she doesn't know about games until I introduced her to WoW. Since she works there, she just plays WoW by their internet connection. Thank goodness her boss doesn't catch her. :?

7. Like the Japanese culture
 No seriously. There are some gamers who are obsessed with the culture. They love the food, people, and everything; even to go as far as wanting to be Japanese. I know a person who says all that stuff. Sometimes, I wonder...is it the games that makes them like it..

Nihongo jin desu ka?

6.Anime
Looks can be deceiving. I guess. Anime. Anime. People love Japanese comics and cartoons. I admit I watch a little bit. My uncle got me into this trend when I visited him in Tokyo. Gamers (not all) like this trend. From Naruto, Inu-Yasha, and etc. (Thanks Joe for all the anime because I don't know all of em').

5.Forum
I admit it. I'm a forum junkie. Gamers tend to look for websites that are related to their game. Ergo, they join that website's forum. I'm actually part of 10 more forums to be exact. Sad. It's either I'm too geeky and have no life.

4. Are sci-fi junkies
Who isn't to be exact? I"m one myself. It's really sad. There's people who like the idea of a fantasy world that exists. Hey, everybody likes a scifi. Final Fantasy games and cyberpunk anime are listed under scifi. Believe it or not.

3. Will watch any movie related a video game
Please who hasn't. I was the first in line when Mortal Kombat 1 came out. OMG. Resident Evil the movie was really bad.Yet, I was willing to watch the movie.

2. Importing games
C'mon. Even buying a limited edition game is cool. I buy several limited game which are not listed in GS to my dismay. Gamers tend to import or collect them. Game collectors anyone?

1.Hope for a significant other to like games
I guess it's hard for people to find girls who like games. Especially, the guys...They might think the girl doesn't like it. I don't think guys since there's a gamer in them.
