If I could hook anyone up with a PS3, it would be me. ;) LoL Unfortunately I have no power over that stuff. I couldn't even stand outside in our own line if I'd wanted to. Not that I have the money to buy a PS3 anyway.
Yes, you have to pay for FFXI for PC. I think it's $12.95 a month, which is why I'm not playing it yet, because once school starts I'll hardly be able to play at all and then I can't justify the expense. I also just spent $500 on my car, so I'm rather broke, especially since it's the holidays...
I own all three games in the Clock Tower series. Most of my point-and-clicks are for PC. Dark Fall, Scratches, Cameron Files... I think I have a pretty large list. Let me know if you want input on some good ones!
My favorite book is House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. My favorite author is Anne Rice. I enjoy fantasy novels and vampire novels more than most, but I will read anything once and give it a fair shot. I am also incredibly fascinated by classic texts such as Beowulf and the Saga of the Volsungs. I am firmly convinced that these were the predecessors to video games, as all the greatest tales can be traced back to these epics.
My taste in films is also eclectic, but I enjoy incredibly gory action films more often than I should, as well as anything starring my favorite actor Gerard Butler. I am eagerly anticipating the third installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean series and Frank Miller's 300. I don't normally watch TV, but I enjoy watching TV series on DVD. My favorites are Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Nip/Tuck, Coupling, and The X-Files.
In terms of video games, I am an RPG fan first and foremost. My favorite Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy VII. I own VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XI, and XII. I have not played XI or XII yet. I would like to get a Nintendo DS so I can get the new DS and GBA versions of the older Final Fantasy games. I also enjoy survival horror and the horribly flawed but always entertaining point-and-click mystery genres. However, just like with books, I will give any game a whirl once. I own a PS2, a SNES, and I also game on my PC.
Other things that interest me are anything involving the supernatural and Ancient Egypt. I can often be found studying multiple topics at a time, and am frequently caught spouting absolutely useless information to myself. Look me up if you have anything weird to talk about. ;)
Glad to be here!
