[QUOTE="Vikes88"]I think the whole superstition about touching the trophy is way overblown. Sure, I like the idea of not touching it because it's not the goal, but the notion that touching will send a team to eternal sports damnation... bit out to lunch.ChikaraShref
pens touched it when they won their most recent cup ;)

Sounds like I'm in the same boat: I definitely preferred Oblivion. The ending in Skyrim also caught me a bit off-guard, as it seems to have for most people. Wasn't quite sure I had finished the main storylines until I searched about it! It was a good game, but there was some "it" factor that was missing for me to call it a great game. I'm not sure what it was, but personally, for example, I feel much more connected and immersed in the Mass Effect trilogy. Maybe it's that Skyrim doesn't really keep a continuous story, or maybe I did find it a bit monotonous at times. I'm not sure, but I share most of the same sentiments here.

Suzy's onto something: connections are only worth what you make of them. I say, if a friend is willing to put their reputation on the line for you, it's a two-way street. It's not just you getting a job: it's you needing to be comfortable being a representation of that friend's judgement, and it's the friend saying they believe enough in you to go out on a limb for now. Nothing wrong with using connections, so long as you don't abuse them.

I haven't finished the game yet -- just started -- but I've heard some pretty negatively visceral feedback about the game and the ending. Got me all worried.

Who knows if this post is where it should be... at least I'm trying. :p Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of the forums. For some reason, I felt like I wanted to join a gaming forum after beginning the last instalment of Mass Effect yesterday evening. Guess I couldn't contain the excitement!
