@Cronyk I agree, and the world that was built has a lot of potential, so I hope someone picks it up!

The best way to stop this idea is to play the game AND DON'T USE THIS FEATURE. I have no problem with it, but I can see it can create a rift between those who pay and those who don't, if it's all the same money and you can easely buy "better" stuff.
It'd be better if you could buy skins, clothes and stuff like that, just to show off how much money you have. Like IRL.

Maybe I won't fear to read the comments anymore...

That and the Marvel universe, I'd flip my ship out of excitement.

@Sun-Tzu-GE I'm pretty sure EA wouldn't miss the chance to sell games on all platforms. Pretty sure they've said that they're developing for all next gen consoles.
