@pound-u It's because the generic "male" roleis still percived as the "better" one.Working in only stereotypes is aweful when creating a character in any gender, or race or whatever, but I'd say women still gets the worst of it.
@fist_a_cuffs I hear people complain often about how males are portayed, but it doesn't get any attention because being masculine is viewed as "good", the more masculine the better. And in most cases, these men have something more that makes them interesting, other than violent men. Too often than not, females become "the prize", or just eyecandy, like a really shiny sword, that you use to kill enemies, but don't really care about, you just like how it looks when it swings.Look, I enjoy eyecandy, of course, but it's bad that's all we get from games. Games are capable of so much more, and it hurts to see it be squandered because "it's just for fun" or "it's just games/fiction", but as the Bible should show us, stories can shape us and our surroundings quite a lot .Great read @carolynmichelle !
Been following this since I'm actually a fan of Cryptic's previous titles, it's nice to see that it seems to turn out good. What'll definetly do the deal for me is if the Forge, the dungeon creator, is easy to use, and not too restricted by the F2P, because if there's something that annoyes me, it's when playing free feels like a big restriction. The free play should be used to get a taste of the good of the game, and make you want to pay for it.
@MVan86 They actually worked on an MMO before Reckoning, but they decided that people needed an introduction to the world, and made a single-player game, to do just that. Prepare for their MMO.
