The current leader is not banned, and is in fact still active on the site. I would recommend sending a private message to the leader rather than posting in the union board and hoping for him to respond.

I have logged similar screenshots from an earlier user, so we're set in terms of understanding the symptoms of the problem. Thank you though, for providing detailed feedback.
Also, please stop pretending that you're gonna restore the posts you "accidentally" purged (I don't buy that for a second), because 5 months later, it's obvious you're not going to.
As for the main forums, it may have been your intention, but you've succeeded in killing a huge portion of forum traffic. Please, don't kill the rest of it: Fix these damn forums.

The UCB post restore signup thread was up with an explicit deadline of January 14th, and we've been progressively going through the list and restoring posts slowly on a nightly basis to avoid a forum outage.
