Well i bought my xbox 360 when it first dropped even though i had to wait till march to finally get one (stupid blackout period) but i bought a ps3 2 years later for $300 (60 gig) when i got my hdtv. The problem i have always had with the ps3 is that updates take to dam long to download and it really didnt have any content till about '08. But the reason why in my opinon why no one buys games for the ps3 is because it was marketed as a blu-ray player. Look at the bundles when they took out BC they included spider-man 3 and when it really first dropped it included the ballad of ricky bobby. But my real gripe is because the xbox 360 games looked and ran better than the ps3 counter parts. Your game should not look inferior to the lower costing console EVER.

Look troll level one and the best you can come up with is to have a subject that has been beatin to death resussitated and killed and bought to life again to commit suicide. Look people like Live for different reasons my reason is that my downloads are faster has achievements to EVERYGAME and to help it along, and also did i mention HAS MORE GAMES i like to play and the service is streamlined. But besides all that i can acutally DEMO every downloadable game instead of taking a gamble on my hard earned money.
Like they both said you really dont need them its nice to have if your tv has 1080p resolution, if your tv is 720p then you can do either component or hdmi so if you go component with your 720p television then it wont matter in the slightest
I wanted what whoever priced the psp go was smokin! who in gods name prices an updated system more than the BETTER counterpart, and dont tell the consumer what plans they have to play the old games that they bought on umd on the new system.
800,000 sold is to conservative everyone knows that the PS3 is gonna be like the wii when it first came out. Its gonna be sold out everywhere and ebay will sell them for 1200:P
No the reason why they took it out was because people were buying ps2 games and playing them on the ps3 instead of buying ps3 games so they took out the backwards compatibility. They said they were gonna go strictly software emulation and keep it in but then they just took it outright from the system. So if i was a late adopter then yes i would be mad cause its an incomplete console.
Here's the prolem with some of the logic i see here. You have some people believe that its gonna sell which it will but if people buy the ps3 as i dont know just a blu-ray player with no intention of buying games for it (which has been evident if you ever look at how much the same game sells between the 360 and ps3) if the sales of the ps3 go up but the people buying games for it remains the same then its gonna be evident why they are buying the system and what they gonna use it for. TO PLAY MOVIES AND NOT GAMES
Its a great deal on a ps3 if you have a high def tv if not then the x360 is the way to go. PS3 games barely come down in price i mean uncharted until the last 2 weeks was still $60 i mean come on the game is old now. But you get free wi-fi but what if you dont need that or i live around people that have 2.4 ghz phones what am i supposed to do now?
Who knows i think what sony did was great lowering the price and making it smaller and consume less power. Microsoft is gonna probably lower the arcade to $180 and the elite to $300 and if that doesnt work they will lower the price of the arcade to $150. But thats just my rational i just want great games and i think microsoft is gonna come with another sku for the elite and make a bigger hard drive.
Basically the unified structure of Live plus all the content that is on i wont have to get into it cause the fanboys are gonna tell you that all of the stuff isnt needed. I say why get rid of the 360 and just get the ps3 and keep the 360 its a great combination.
