SALES!!!!

Funny how people in the past were saying with the PS1 and PS2....guess that all changes when the Wii wins in sales.

Also, if we use games, we are making a neverending argument (even looking at scores we get different numbers, aka, Zelda: TP) With sales it is clear.

This post is just another gamer going through that time of the month. We all get sick of games at a certain point, but we all pick the controller back up sooner or later.

I ask two questions:

1. WHEN HAS NINTENDO EVER GIVEN US THREE AAA GAMES OF THEIR MAJOR FRANCHISES IN ONE 5-MONTH PERIOD?

Metroid 3 from actual hands-on impressions is going to change the FPS genre on consoles forever, Mario Galaxy from hands-on impressions is phenomenol and the true successor to Mario 64, and Smash from what we've seen is looking like the best Smash yet. Your delusional if you think Nintendo has stopped making games for the hardcore. NEVER have they pumped out three great games like this for the hardcore in such a short period unless you go back to the SNES era.

2. WHAT IN THE HELL HAS MICROSOFT AND SONY DONE FOR GAMING?

Killzone 2 - ANOTHER FPS

Uncharted - ANOTHER TOMB RAIDER CLONE

MGS4 - ITS NOT EVEN GAMING, ITS CUTSCENES, MOVIE GEAR SOLID 4

Heavenly Sword - GOD OF WAR WITH A SKIRT

Lair - STAR WARS ROGUE SQUADRON WITH DRAGONS

FF XIII - HAHAHA, ITS PART THIRTEEN, THIRTEEN!!!

Halo 3 - ANOTHER FPS

Call of Duty 4 - ANOTHER FPS

Jesus, I don't think we saw enough FPS's and Gears of War rip-offs at E3 this year, do you?

Mass Effect, Bioshock, even Assasins Creed, those games look like their by nature evolving the genres were used to a little bit.

I love great visuals as much as the next guy, I love and look forward to playing all the titles above. But something has to change because pressing the X button to throw grenades and the L trigger to fire isn't going to cut it for Call of Duty 10 and Halo 9.

Nintendo is the same ol, stubborn, secretive Nintendo with extremely polished and top-notch titles every year. They just happened to have found another market that you know what, exists. It actually exists, and like the old keeper of the crypt you're angry because new people get to come in and play. How selfish are you?

I'll be playing Metroid Prime 3 and it's amazing controls on the EXPERT level, I'll be playing Galaxy and Brawl, Fire Emblem and Batallion Wars II online, Mario Kart online, etc. The same ol' Nintendo goodness with new elements. I'll likely even try out the new Nintendo board with Wii Fitness. I'll even be playing the Halo's and the Call of Duty's at the same time, imagine that! :o

We're lucky to be gamers right now, we're lucky to see evolution, and you want to cry all the way home because Nintendo made a board? It's pretty sad.

I guess Mario is just another Platformer and Metriod at times is just anither FPS..
