The controls are meh.

I don't buy this "Oh but it's to keep the tension" BS. Capcom has already change the RE franchise so much into an action game, just give us controls that aren't awkward and clunky.

You can't run while moving the camera, you can't reload while moving, you can't aim while moving, you can't run and turn a corner without stopping.

Honestly this is kinda stupid.

never played RE4 have you? We don't need the Hardcore RE fans screaming even louder on here on how Capcom sold them out. RE5 while is more ACTION it still about the tension and survival aspect...adding moving and shooting with such enemies makes it TOO easy, considering RE5 isn't a war shooter. YOU don't have enemies with guns do you? The stop and shoot gameplay is much more realistic, too....when do professionals run around and shoot? Look at swat/cops..these guys are pro's (swat team) that need to make shots count and you don't do that by moving and shooting, do you? Don't come to RE5 expecting gears of war...totally different games.

I have played RE4. I get what you're saying. Running and shooting isn't the RE sty|e But at some point you have to change things. The controls for RE5 are just clunky.

I would prefer to have run and shoot and have smarter, maybe faster enemies.

Also there are enemies with projectiles weapons in the demo. I don't remember if it's a flaming crossbow or a bomb but yeah.

The real-time inventory in Dead Space was nice but the one in RE5 is lame and ugly. The whole menu interface is rather ugly.

Also the screens in coop. Why are you wasting so much of my HDTV with empty black space?

Public surveys?

The same kind we have here (and in which the PS3 mostly always wins) and people discredit automatically because anyone can vote mulitple times?

I don't know. Seems rather strange that the iPhone is higher than both the PS3 and PSP. What kind of gamers visit the PA site?

That doesn't change the fact that a video-games journalist has called the PS3's flagship title,a game thats had so much hype, money and resources thrown at it, mediocre.

Unbelievable.

That tells me that GG just aren't that good.Because if you can't produce a breathtaking, benchmark game with the time and money they had, then you never will.

GabeNewellsPie

Really? Because it tells me that you have selective reading.

You're cluthing at straws dude.Stop doing it to yourself.

Regardless of what the rest of the sentence says, the word "mediocre" is still used to describe KZ2's campaign.I mean that's just disgraceful..Especially when you consider what I've already mentioned about the money thats been thrown at this game.

If I were a PS3 owner I'd be a little disappointed tbh.

I'm convinced that this game won't recieve AAA here at GS.

You try way too hard.

Well technically A games are considered good.

So yeah I guess the Wii does have a lot of good games. But it severely lacks AA, AAA and even AAAA at this point.

I suppose you haven't been paying attention to the industry-scale cutbacks, shutdowns, and fat-trimmings that have taken place in the last few months, have you? Keep an open eye. I assure you that these types of announcements aren't about to stop any time soon. My guess is that the next victim to be shut down will be Silicon Knights. Sad that a single bomb can kill an entire company.

Dingerious

Those cutbacks and shutdowns do absolutely nothing to prove your assertion. Sorry but I think you need to come up with a better explanation than "teh devs are stupid fanboys". You're talking about people making decisions where millions of dollars hang in the balance, not people arguing over which console is the best on an Internet message board.

So you're telling me that, despite cutbacks, despite closures, despite bankruptcies and layoffs, these developers and publishers believe that the current road they're travelling, the very one that got them to this point in the first place, is the best possible way to make money?

C'mon. I'm not that dense. It's obvious that something wrong with this model. There are two main western publishers who are making money: Ubisoft and Activision. One is making money off of their DS shovelware and the other is making money off of World of Warcraft.

Something is WRONG with this industry and despite that, companies refuse to adapt to survive. What excuse is other than either a) fanboyism or b) stupidity is there to point the finger at?

But oh well. Survival of the fittest and all.

This is just a hunch here, but it may not be as simple as you think
