I prefer Chrono Trigger.

In fact I have to problem agreeing with Chrono Trigger > Xenogears > Chrono Cross

Played Chrono Trigger in the summer of 1995

Played Chrono Cross the school year of 2000

I've played through CT a couple times. Don't think I've played through CC more than twice.

That was when time was in much better supply.

Edit: I think around that time was the same time I played Majora's Mask and Shenmue as well. Great times.

This is clearly slanted towards consoles.

A poll slanted towards PC would be: Which would you rather have a PC for $600 or a PS3 and 360 (with no computer anywhere)

There is just too much other stuff that a computer does that can't be separated from the higher price.

If you could ration it fairly then the section of the PC that is gaming would obviously cost less but it can't be separated.

It's like those $100 coupons. You can't use a $100 coupoun on anything like something for $35. The system is set up so that you are spending at least this much before you can save $100.

Or like a deductible. You pay this much, then you get some.

Luxuries are a right NOT a privilege. Everything I want is a right and not a privilege.

Are you sure about stopping him from doing destrudo? I know that if you keep hitting him until he makes that sound it takes off less but I don't think you can stop him from doing it.

I used Lightning, Hope, and Sazh.

Paradigms I had (If I can remember correctly)

Commando, Ravager, Ravager (Pretty much the bread and butter of staggering offense in this game)

Commando, Ravager, Medic (A step down from Com/Rav/Rav)

Commando, Synergist, Synergist (Sazh is a better Synergist than Hope but together they do work to get plus statues on everyone)

Medic, Medic, Synergist (I use this to heal quickly before and after destrudo)

Just keep hitting him and heal when you have to. You can take a break from hitting him for a while. As long as his stagger bar isn't empty, it wiill go right back to where it was with one hit.

Finally if you take too long he will cast doom (or death or whatever it is on the party leader)

Can't get Chapter 9 boss music out of my head.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTm6Rt-1SXY

Don't know if it's the timpanis or what, but it has just been pounded into my head.

Maybe it's because of how the battle just takes forever.

The music is just perfect for some kind of scene, don't know what it is but some kind of scene in like a movie or something.

[QUOTE="Dick_Derringer"] Retro is owned by Nintendo. It is a first party studio. PERIOD!!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro_Studios

It is currently wholly owned by Nintendo (thus a first-party developer), with about 80 employees.

Your idiotic definitions mean nothing.

sjd1991

The link says wholly owned by Nintendo (thus a first party) which I tend to agree more with. Even still, using wikipedia in an argument is pretty questionable.

And when it's put that way (anyone partially owned by a first party is first party) then there are no second party developers.

do you think uncharted is a 2nd party game?

I pretty much said what I agree more with. This 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party thing isn't as clearly defined as a lot of other things. Or at least 3rd party is a lot more clearly defined. Maybe we don't even need to bother using the term 2nd party.

Anyway, back to what I was saying before if Naughty Dog is completely owned by Sony then I have no problem calling them a first party developer. If Sony owned 45% of them I would be more inclined to call them 2nd party. But since there's no real rule book that I am aware of on this thing I wouldn't be as forceful in saying it's definitely this way or it's definitely that way.

Finally I think that the distinction that the OP had in mind was the difference between the "main company" Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, and companies that they acquired and now could be considered first party. I think it's safe to say that Sony and Microsoft do more acquring.
