@queuing_for_PS4 When was this confirmed? I've been through a quick look online and found nothing but links to speculation on the IGN forums. Notably, this article claims it is unclear.
Perhaps someone should ask Mr. Hayter himself via twitter?
If this is the predecessor to BF3, then give it to us, if only to prove it to yourselves that we all still want Battlefront 3. I assure you, we still do.
I wasn't referring to the other obvious flaws, just the feel of the game. I could see where someone could infer a COD vibe from the game as it does play in a rather run and gun style, which is not not something I equate with Alien as a franchise. Where's the horror, where's the terror? Had the game possessed a better atmosphere in that regard, it would have went a long way to making it more enjoyable. Instead, it came across as a stereotypical shooter, which is (I would argue) the more important aspect of this article.
It's too bad that a COD feel was desired. Not because COD is a bad game, but because it cost A:CM it's own identity. In my opinion, the sections of the game where humans were fought instead of Xenos were the weakest segments of the game.
A very disappointing turn of events, with what appears to be more and more finger pointing and blame placing to come.
That's too bad that Bungie felt that way... I think Halo Wars is a pretty fun game (though it does muddy the story waters a bit, it doesn't do it too badly). Too bad there will probably never be a sequel.
