I know that most gamers in SW don't play sports games but the ugly truth is that they decide what consoles casuals buy. I don't care if Bioshock gets straight 11's, that game won't sell systems. Let me give you a history lesson. 1. Genesis vs. SNES - Madden better on Genesis 2. Playstation vs. N64 - The first year on N64 Madden didn't even have the NFL license, PS FTW 3. Dreamcast vs. PS2 - No Madden on Dreamcast. RIP buddy. 4. PS2 versus X-Box - The first couple of years Maddne was PS2 only and it look like the X-Box was going the way of the Dreamcast. Overall, the game was still a PS2 port. 5. 360 vs PS3 - Madden has almost broke 2 mil on 360 alone. It is a confirmed flop on PS3 sales wise. The Wii? Once the Wii Sports gimmick wears off they will have to produce.chaotzu

PS3 = successor to the PS2, the highest selling console of all time, is in a distant third place in both hardware and software sales... spin it any way you want but that is freakin BAD.

360 = Has this thing sold a bloody console since the release of PS3/Wii??? The Wii just blew by it in mere months and I can swear it's been stuck at 10 million consoles for pretty much the entire time the Wii's been available.

Once again... spin it any way you want (that's what you do best), but on both fronts things are looking pretty grim.

Now that Nintendo are making Sony look foolish worldwide, third party developers are going to have to consider porting to the Xbox360 to increase sales. This is the videogame industry, not the fanboy industry.

Proof that a high post count doesn't mean you know anything about games!

You people don't realize how influential to the system wars a FFVII remake could be. Some of you hate JRPGs, and that's fine. But a lot of people are incredibly attached to these characters and this story, and would do anything for a remake for this game. In all three major regions too.

To put it in context, think of what would happen if it was announced as a 360 exclusive (even though chances of this are extremely small). If this happened, I can guarantee 360 sales would skyrocket in Japan, with a much more dramatic effect than any Mistwalker game could ever hope for. It would surpass PS3 sales in Japan easily. That's not even mentioning the effect it would have on all the other reasons. I think if this happens, it would guarantee 360s success. This is obviously all hypothetical, as there is no chance they will make it for 360.

Some of you forget, but Final Fantasy VII was the big game that secured the PS as the number one gaming console way back in 1997, and gamers have screamed for a remake ever since.
