I had the same problem, and sent mine off to Microsoft. It ended up costing me about $100 and 2 1/2 weeks of boredom, but I haven't had any problems since. They also renewed mywarrantyand gave me a free month of a Gold Membership to xbox-live...ya, I know...wow a whole month...but its better than a kick in the nuts.abarclay21

Thanks man, that sucks but it looks like the only option.

Thanks for all the other replies, but I have already had the red rings twice, I hate Microsoft!!!

If anyone else has anything more to add I would be more than happy to hear it......

Hi, my name is Wes I am new to this forum. One of the reasons I joined is I have a very important question......

My Xbox 360 is now, to me, an official piece of crap; however, if I can fix it, that would be amazing.

The Problem:

I turn on my Xbox and I get either a screen tinted green, or just a fuzzy black one with white dots or lines going across it.

Solutions I have Tried:

I have tried a new AV cable, HDTV cable, a different TV, everything leads to the Xbox itself.

Microsofts Standpoint:

First of all, anyone who has ever called Mircosoft knows you will automatically get someone who doesn't speak english! I was told that if I want to get my Xbox fixed i would need to renew my warranty which only ran out a couple of weeks ago.

The Question:

Am I getting screwed on this deal, or is their another option?
