i agree on metal gear solid. I never understood what the big deal is. It's a great production and has great production values but meh. Same with Gears. I'm playig gears 2 right now and it's really cheesy. It's a good game for production value as well. But it's cheesy as hell.

some people really like those games though so i wouldnt say they are overhyped.

Too Human and Lair comes to mind in recent memory. I'll leave this up for open debate though. What other games were extremely hyped and weren't nearly as good as the hype.

the thing is the ps3 is actually pretty good, but in relationship to hype/floppage it's probably the worst out of all of those. The cell was supposed to change the world and its in last place. The 3do was also pretty good but didnt have near the hype the ps3 had. the jaguar and virtual boy were just stupid. the saturn and sega megadrive should definately be on there as well.

If scoring that's 7 for the 360 and 2 for the ps3, 0 for wii. Mass Effect 2(best console game, rpg), Forza 3(best racer), alan wake(best action),project natal(best tech), left4dead2(best multiplayer, haha MAG), Shadow Complex(best downloadable. Sony-Uncharted 2(best graphics), Last Guardian(best unplayable game).

So Sony gets the all looks no substance vote some portable stuff. Best graphics, best unplayable game. 4 years later nothing has changed. The 360 gets everything else. plus fight night(best sports), and modern warfare 2(best shooter) which are multiplats. Nintendo has scribblenauts and portable stuff.

So what this clearly says to me is if you like to play games on a console buy a 360. Another win for the 360. Fanboys rejoice.

I owned a 360. Bought a ps3 and returned it and still own a 360. The ps3 is overrated and not that great. They have teh same games. Most of which run better on the 360. Both have good games that you can't play on the other. There you go.

i dont see what is so great about either game. they both seem very tedius. Infamous is more polished but both are pretty tedius games.

i agree both games ahve a similar history. The style of both games are also similar. It's weird. That's why i made a topic. I figured they would ahve been done by the same people but they never have been.
