Uncharted is way better than Gears of War.

-Uncharted has huge lush colorful environments and high resolution textures.

-Gears of War has a gray dark environments that are very close quarters, and the textures are blurry and pop in and out.

-Uncharted has awesome likable characters that have some of the best dialogue of any game, even better than some movies

-Gears have generic and lame military characters that are copied and pasted from every other shooter out there

-Uncharted's mechanics, and gameplay are varied and the shooting is actually fun, and you do things like platforming, climbing, and exploring

-All you do in Gears is shoot, shoot and more shooting, which gets repetative and old after a while

Uncharted should not be compared with Gears, they are on different levels and are not the same type of game. Uncharted is the superior game. It's for gamers who like action adventures , exploration and a great story, Gears is for gamers who like mindless shooting and don't have a long attention span.

So because Uncharted has prettier colors and some platforming means it's for people with a longer attention span? Sorry but I'm not seeing it. We are basically talking pirates of the carribean vs an arnold swartzenager movie here. Neither are that deep or involved.

It definately has hte best original music. Between Mass Effect and Halo it doesn't get much better.

Even single player i don't think they are that different. Different characters and story yes but they are all linear action/story driven shooters when it's all said and done. The gameplay mechanics are very similar. Both have great characters and stories. Great graphics and textures. Lots of action based on a cover system. etc... uncharted has platforming elements. Gears is more weapon based.

I personally like GTA IV's online play the best. For the simple reason it's a huge open world and you can set it any way you want with vehicles, types of missions etc... P eople talk about GTA not being that great but it's actually probably the most unique game around. It's a sandbox game and it has a huge multiplayer on top of it that's probably better than anything around.

I'm not saying it isn't. I'm not a huge gears at all. I honestly think all these games are the same after a while. I like shooters for mindless fun every once in a while but I don't really have a favorite. They are all the same. There are differences between them, but each has their pluses and minuses. Halo, Gears, Resistance, Uncharted, COD, etc.. They are all pretty comparable online.

I just think the ps3 is finally getting with the program when the 360 has had this stuff for a while and everyone is going to go crazy like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread when it's really nothing new.

yeah i wouldn't exactly call uncharted uncharted territory though. It's a pretty comparable game to gears although i'm s ure when it comes out people will say how much better it is, when it's really not. gears 2 also has eyepopping graphics, great cover system, good story and characters, and you can blow guys up in variety of ways. Uncharted doesn't really do anything new or set a new bar imo.. It's becoming a comparable game finally if anything now that it has multiplayer.

I hear you. I just don't get what the big deal is. These multiplayer games are all the same after a while whether its resistance 2, uncharted or whatever. Yay Uncharted has better textures than Resistance, and is more like Gears in that vein but they are different storylines and settings but its the same run around shoot stuff.

i was just watching the multiplayer beta stuff on youtube and what is the big dela? I was doing this stuff in gears 2 months ago and it doesn't look any better really. plus i can chainsaw people.

I don't think there is any comparison and Infamous is just new and GTAIV has been out a while. GTAIV is clearly a better game.
