@rodoxthedark: Not really if now they are going to get financed by Microsoft for future projects. Time will tell, but when a big publisher is paying a good chunk of your bills, less money can still mean more raw profit.

This is quite the push in MS' focus on getting a strong first party line-up. For starters the Game Pass is going to get even more value.

@Flyin3lvl: not dead at all, but its playerbase dropped in the last year since now it has some serious competitors out there. I guess it being in PS+ wants to correct that a bit.

Well... then it should start with him resigning.

First because he failed as CEO for allowing this. Seconds because I don't believe for a second that he didn't know what was going on.

I guess they were trying to identify the problem and see if they could fix it with some sort of patch, a rollback can cause a ton of compatibility problems (just as an example).
