I remember back when it first launched you where lucky to get anything in an update, let alone it be on time....but it is definetly the latest it's been since that time...a DiRT 2 demo and NHL'10 demo will be worth the wait....

[QUOTE="Iplayps3"]

so i recently finished fallout 3 (platinum :D) and i'm looking to buy another good role playing game..

can anyone recommend me a good RPG game that has trophies? (they really motivate me to replay games and add a lot of replay value so its important to me that most of my games will have them, i really dont care how difficult or easy they are, as long as they exist..)

I'm thinking of mybe getting sacred 2..it seems really long and should keep me busy for a few mounths..though i've noticed that not too many people have it. is it very simular to world of warcraft? i dont really understand the combat system..do u hack and slash by pressing certain buttons or do u just command your character to attack (like in final fantasy 12 for example), and how difficult is it? are they many people online?

any recommendation of an rpg or information about sacred 2 is appriciated :)

It's not very similar to World of Warcraft, it is more or less a Diablo clone. It's a hack and slash game, with the main emphasis being on loot that drops off monsters. You can assign your 4 right buttons to different skills, and can switch between two other "wheels" of 4 skills each using your shoulder buttons. So total of 12 skills or weapon combinations can be bound at once. The directional buttons are bound to potions. The rest of the game is just taking little quests (no where near the length of WoW quests), and completing them for experience, gold, and occasionally loot. While completing them you'll be killing dozens of monsters, sometimes 5-6 at a time. Every level you can assign points to your stats, or to your skills. I bought Sacred 2 as soon as it came out as kind of a "fix" until Diablo 3 is released. Honestly I got bored with it pretty fast. It's just not as polished as I would have liked it to be. I got to about 18 on my first and only character. I'm probably just spoiled by Diablo 2 and WoW though. I'd say rent it, and see what you think. The game stays pretty much the same start to finish if it's anything like Sacred 1. You can level to somewhere around 200, and every 50 or so levels you unlock a new difficulty that has harder monsters, but better loot.

Also, as far as Valkyrie Chronicles, the last time I played this (a month ago) there were no trophies. There are in-game emblems you can get that are like trophies, but nothing to do with the PSN. So I would check on that to see if it was patched in lately if trophies are your main motivation in buying.

thanks for the reply! yeah ill probably rent it..

I have Sacred 2 and it is pretty good....as long as you enjoy hack/slash Diablo style games, you'll love it...some of the quest are quite humorous...lol

It's a big shame that this game doesn't have online multi-player.

The game seems to be made to be played for online multi-player. mindless dumb fun with other people.

Oh man, I was going to ask if this had online then I saw your message, this is a shame, but for being positive it's still free. I hope they add online DLC later. :P ( Really doubt it. :( )

actually you know what, this is probably their plan, they said they were going to have online mp at first, but then it didn't. they probably didn't have the biggest install base, so now that they have a large install base, they can throw out $3-$5 DLC and make a ton more money than they did at first!! they've probably had online mp just ready and waiting and probably have over a million people with it now!! if they have DLC, then it's bound to sell a lot. wow this is genius, how didn't i think of this before??

you have uncovered their master plan...lol...

Hey, be glad there can actually be sales and free stuff on the PSN. I spent the ten bucks too but c'mon its not the end of the world. How can you get mad at Sprint for making something free!? Its like one of the nicest things thats happened on the PSN and you're complaining about it? We aren't 4 year olds here.

jasong1011

i know im not mad at sprint, i'm just mad that the only game i bought on the PSN ends up being free. lol it's pretty ironic. of all the games they could have chosen to be free!! o well i'm glad u guys are getting to experience it.

I kinda know how you feel...they gave High Velocity Bowling away for Qore subscribers(which I am) and I had already bought it(about a year before)...but I got over it in about a minute....

I download alot of demo's off the store...as others have said it helps to find games you may not have bought or shows you why not to buy some you where going to get....I thought Wolverine was going to be not worth my time and it turned out I actually liked the demo....they really should try and get more demo's on the store, if your games got a good demo people will buy it....
