CHERISH YESTERDAY - LIVE TODAY - DREAM TOMORROW
Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delecious Ambiguity. - Gilda Radner
In My Place
______________________________
In a place that anybody could imaging when they think of a city. The buildings, the traffic, the endless amount of people walking to a destination they may never actually find for themself. A simple dream lost by the new arrivals looking for a better life. The young yuppies looking to start their lifes. All lost in the endless amount of crowds, who never find their way. Close your eyes and imaging yourself on the corner block or on a train track looking both ways. Not knowing from which direction the train will come. See your self now looking out at the ocean. It's endless but it ends, how can that be. The deep dark ocean filled with the unknowns that you'll never see. Think about that when your in your place.
I now take you to that city. Cars parked on either side of the street all facing the same direction. The deeper we get from the tall buildings the less we have of hope. You walk up the sets of an ordinary aparment building. Up the flight of stairs and into the house of an older man. Maybe in his late 50s but looks worse. He is sitting at his table with only two chairs. The other chair is on the ground as if it was tossed with no thought. Maybe in a fit or rage or a fight, so long ago died out. It's nearly forgotten about. The place looks lived in, all the rooms look like the aftermath of a battle ground. Is the war over? Papers, shirts and other items hug the floor and don't let go.
The man gets up from his chair and heads for the fridge. Nothing is inside, save for a couple tea bags. He then heads for the door. He looks back at his tea slowly cooling on the table. Waiting to be devoured but not getting its wish. He turns back and begins to turn all the lights on in the house, he walks around and says good morning to the empty place. The bathroom the brightest of them all. He finally exits with a sad look of failure on his face. Maybe he has won, we may never know.
He climbs in his truck and heads off into the night. A strange place to be is in the city at night. During the day everything is bright and a little bit cheerful. During the night everything is bright and little bit not cheerful. The man drives around looking for the right person or anybody willing to get inside his truck and come home with him. A hour passes before a nice lady looking for some bucks comes up to his truck and asks if he wants a good time. She climbs in and the two go back to the aparment. The two climb the stairs and in his place. She looks around and is shocked by the state, it looks as though somebody had put up a struggle.
She walks around looking for the bedroom as he sits at the table looking back at the chair on the floor. Finally having a guest to stay is probably not what the either things. The chair has falling to the depth of the floor. She walks back into the kitchen to find the man now looking into his tea. It look endless from the top as he looked down. "Do you have a place I could freshing up?" She said in a voice that could seduce the weak. He told her the bathroom was the first door on the right. She departed and headed for the bathroom as he got up and headed for the bedroom.
Nearly blinded by all the light she looked in the mirror which was cracked in some places but still usable. She moved around her hair and did magic tricks with her clothes but what caught her eye was the bathtub. Nothing strange about it but how it was filled almost to the top with a dark colored water. She walked up and looked in and she could see these little tiny bubbles coming up. One here, one there, one everywhere. Disgusted she reached in to cut the drain to get rid of the water but felt no bottom.
From behind her the man, now wearing a dentist mask and gloves entered the room, scarring the lady in the tub. A tug on her foot she jumped out followed by a creature from the depth who looked like a slimy version of death. The creature fall back in. The lady tried to push by the man with no luck. "Now don't scream little lady I just want you to enjoy the gift of life. How it's supposed to be. Man doesn't belong on top of the food chain and I going to show it to you." She tried screaming tried getting away with no luck. "Quiet down, there is no need to yell, I am the only one here." He stabbed a needle into her arm and she fell the floor now paralyzed. The man dragged the lady to the tub with not struggle and dumped her into the bottom less pit.
She drifted down looking up to see the light from the room and its contrast to the darkness she now faced. The creature took its advantage and ate away. No scream were heard that night. The only thing the man saw where the tiny bubbles here and there now red. "Happy birthday my son." The man said with a sad look of failure as though he had lost. We now exit the room and and the house and down the stairs and into the night and question what we saw and what we think. We think we are the best but their is always a greater force out there waiting to take us down. Some times it takes a little force. Open your eyes and think to yourself about everything. Because some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle an end.

Ello and welcome to my blog. It's thursday so something must be happening. What did you think of my story. I have been developing some things. But I always had this idea for something in the bathtub. I remember watching this scene from A Nightmare on Elm Street, where Freddy drags the girl into the tub. I thought wouldn't it be cool if something actually did live in the bath tub like that?
Like I said before I am leaving for Florida on the 18th. Should be good, need some time away. It's my first vacation since 2006, ironically the last vacation I took I went to Florida. :P
Other than that I havent done much. The heat went down and the rain started. How had the weather treated you in the last couple of days?

Lets get onto todays topics
They found a boat under the World Trade Center site, story here.I first had to take a double look when I first heard. I thought they found more bodies but a boat?
George Steinbrenner passed away. Owner of the yankess. Time to crack out some old Seinfeld dvds. R.I.P
So I returned to watching the deadliest catch on discovery. I used to watch the show early on in its run. I stopped watching for some reason and now I am trying to get back into it. Now that Phil Harris has passed I am interested to see what will happen.
Batman 3 is starting soon. Storys here. Pumped for this one. I recently dug out my Dark Knight DVD and man does it still stand up. Cant wait to see what they will do for Nolan's final film. Any bets on who the villians will be? I am going to put bets that catwoman, penguin or the riddler will be in it. Although I would love to see the film be about the arkham asylum
Over that is it for this week. Any questions or comments tell me in the comment section below
