I looked up the ideal specs on some of the lateset games and realized that it was time for a whole new PC. This one I plan to be used pretty much only for gaming and I've got a budget of just under 2.5K. I want to be able to play games like Bioshock maxed out and Crysis on high. Should I look for a pre-made PC or build my own? If I should go for a pre-made, what model? What specific components if I should build my own?

What website do you think is best for PS3 game reviews and PS3 related stuff besides Gamespot, IGN or 1Up?

As of now, I think you would have to rank the next-gen consoles in this order:
1a. Nintendo Wii: The everyman's game system. Affordable, easy to use and contains mostly E-rated material. You can't keep this baby on the shelves right now.
1b. Xbox 360: Had a year's head start and it shows. An American Company catering to American Gaing needs. What are those needs? Violence, shooters, online play, crisp graphics and high prduction values.
3. Sony PS3: In May it seemed this system was destied for the Beta-max abyss of high technology concepts that never quite made it. Now at 07's ennd, the future appears far more promising. A technological power house with the greatest engine in all of next gen (or so we're told). It won't matter, however without the right games.
In 08 I see this eventually occuring:
1a. Nintendo Wii
1b. Sony PS3
1c. Microsoft Xbox 360
I see the 3 consoles becoming entangled the point of pretty much eveness. The 360 will continue to spar with the PS3 for hardcore gamer cash, while the Wii makes the most off it's popularity. The Wii, simply put, is the flavor of the month, and it will probably say that way until the novelty wears off sometime in 2009. The PS3 gets more popular every day and is dangerously close to evening up with the 360 once Home comes out. Ultimately, however, this battle is the 360's to lose. The 360's head start was brilliant, in retrospect, if it had waited a year, they wouldn't have had time to create the titles nessasary to establish a dominance ove the superior PS3 hardware. I see that all 3 will be very much in the thick of it in 08, not because the Wii and 360 will stumble, but the PS3 will catch up.
In 09, this will turn, in my opinion into a war that revolves around a couple key points:
Developer Creativity with the Wii
PS3 Hardware Potential tapped
360 exclusives maintaing superior quality
The system that does their specisic point best will overall win 2009.
If you agree or disagree with the Console fate in 2008, I'd be interested to hear why.

I got the PS3 about a month after launch because I grew up with the PS1 and PS2, and both provided better game experiences than anything microsoft or nintendo had put out. The combination of pure power and a roster of upcoming games that sounded amazingI figured the PS3 was an easy choice, not for 2007, but for2008 and 2009, when developers actually start to make full use of the PS3's potential. That was my rationale... now I'm getting concerned... it's hard to remain confident when games you thought would be PS3 exclusives come to the 360, because you know the PS3 will then be left at 360 levels due to lazy developers, who might then just screw you by making a PS3 version inferiorto the 360, which is frankly insulting. The PS3 needs some exclusive games that are good enough to hold it over until the mid 2008 period where developers will have exhausted Wii tech completely and will be stretching the boundaries of the 360, leaving the PS3 ready for exploration. It will happen, if the PS3 cann hold on, it's just human nature to eventually move on to the bigger and better thing.

I also bought a Wii, but I predict a limit to the number of gimmicks possible will leave a system with graphics like a GameCube lite. I got it strickly for Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda and Metroid.

These developers can't seem to give the PS3 the time of day.... I don't get it... I've been looking forward to getting Stranglehold for months now (more for the Blu-Ray Hard Boiled than the game), but again and again it gets delayed. I mean, OCTOBER! And LATE OCTOBER at that?!?! Now I don't even wan't to buy it... IT CAME OUT FOR THE FRIGGIN 360 IN AUGUST!!! They have no excuse for a 2+ month delay!
