thats i was thinking. like people really care if the ps3 has bc. plus ps2 doesnt have very many games coming out. if they really cared about bc they would of gotten a ps3 60. the only option is too get a ps2, there so cheap now plus its king of consoles or get the 80 right now.
Yeah I'd get a PS2 over that. I actually want to play the previous MGS games before I play a game I have no clue what's going on, and I don't feel like wasting$130 on it just for that. Same could be said about KH and I.

Not entirely true, and you cannot compare a casual game such as Halo 3 or GTA to a casual game where you talk to animals or you can play music without really even hitting a note.
Nintendo is a joke, when I got my Wii with Metroid and RE4, I thought I would have a fun time with it. Well, What do you know? I beat both, unlocked everything, and now it's over. Yeah sure Wii sports and SSBB are some of my most played games, but they aren't hardcore and I occasionally appreciate a game that actually has depth. What I fear most is that with the success Nintendo saw, next generation will ALL be like this, and if that's the case I might give up gaming all together.
