[QUOTE="wallymartin"][QUOTE="DLateral"][QUOTE="wallymartin"][QUOTE="DLateral"]No way is Kampman #1 Jared Allen is the best defensive end in the League, Allen has more tackles, sacks and forced fumbles then Kampman. Kampman shouldnt even be in the top 5 and where is Jason Taylor on this list?DLateral
Taylor is on teh 3-4 OLB list, since that is likely what he'll be playing.
I went with Kampman for 2 reasons, both of which I believe I mentioned:
1) He has better help. Between Cullen Jenkins and KGB, not to mention Al Harris and Charles Woodson making QBs hold onto the ball, the Green Bay pass rush will be formidable. Whereas Jared Allen has no help on the other side (none, whatsoever), meaning offenses can flood his side with extra blockers. And I'm not sure the Vikes secondary can give him more time. Sure they'll improve this year, but I don't have great confidence in them.
2) Not since Reggie White in the 80's has someone lead the league in sacks for 2 years in a row.
Both Minnesotas DT's started in the Pro Bowl last year so I guess their not that terrible and guy on other side got 5 sacks last year while missing last 4 games so he can hold his own on the other side and Darren Sharper also started in the Pro Bowl at SS so I dont think Vikes defense is 2 bad:) (even though are corners arent Harris and Woodson their still semi-decent)
The Williams are great run-stoppers, but they, along with Edwards, won't generate enough pass rush to pull blockers away from Allen. Also, keep in mind that he is on a new team. He's got new plays to learn, and small intricacies that may not click for a while.
Jared Allen probably IS the best Defensive End in the league, but he's got more obstacles in his way than Kampman does.
Yeah I'll agree with that Vikes are great run stoppers not so good at pressuring the QB...
Are you saying Jared Allen can't get to the QB? And they were 8th in sacks last year.
[QUOTE="WhiteSamurai209"]My opinions are extrapolated from facts/stats --- not the pretty ones, the ones that truly matter, those that decide and/or result in championships won or lost.., INTs, drive killing losses or penalties, etc. I don't care about 6000 yards passing or 73 TDs -- did u win a Super Bowl or NFL title?Better get some prescription ointment for that BURN!! FACTS/STATS>>>>>>>>>>>opinions
JackBurton
The Pats had pretty stats last season but no title -- so, which is most important to you?
I was agreeing with you actually, you used facts and stats in your argument, it was a burn on the other guy!! But of course titles beat stats.
He did have an addiction to painkillers and went into rehab during the Holgrem era. But we quickly forgave him for that just like we do everything else, from INTs to mispronouncing his own name, cuz, well, gosh darnit, he's good ol' Brett and you just gotta love him![QUOTE="gstonyr"]i HAVE TO DISAGREE, Brett Favre, is a good QB, and a nice guy overall. ... and he doesnt do drugs, or get arrested liek these other idiots, and hes a stand up odl school player!JackBurton
I want to know why it is when they shove his stats all up in my grill every time a see a story about him, they fail to mention or list his RECORD number of playoff overtime interceptions?? Oh yeah, he's Brett.

[QUOTE="WhiteSamurai209"]Well they end up tying in the end, the broncos kick the bills(bisons) in the head killing them, but the broncos break their legs and end up getting put down.Thordain0011
You do realize we are talking about the football teams, the Broncos and Bills right?
Yeah, but picking teams by mascot is fun. For me this game is to close to call, the broncos are better, but the Bills could be a sleeper team next year, so I choose tie.

DLateral
go to hell budy
Little bit hostile their buddy?
u say $hit that makes no sense...u really think tampa's no#1 pass D cant stop a Cardinals offense??
Yes i do really think Tampas pass D cant stop the Cardinals offense Boldin and Fitzgerald are one of the best tandems in the league and Barbers aging and Buchanon didnt really have that great of a season last year just not sure if they can handle them...
so what exactly happened the last time tampa played em??
Kurt Warner went 10/30 with 2 picks and the Bucs still only won by 7..
ty 4 proving me right, and it dont matter if u win by 1 point or by 35 a win is a win
Lol who cares that they won their last meeting your main argument as to why the Bucs will win this time is"well they won last year" well this isnt last year everything is not going to happen the same as it did last year dude Warner had an off game and if Leinart or Warner or whoever the hell their starter is for that game even has a decent game the Cards will win because Tampa Bays offense cant score Touchdowns..
They will use BOTH Leinart and Warner to rake up the points!! If Garcia doesn't get paid he'll likely throw the season. Plus the Cards D got improved with a good draft. Cards fly down and peck out the Bucs one good eyes and then they stumble around untill they fall off the ship or the Cards decide to tear them apart.
[QUOTE="Bobbles"]lol, it's the Rangers dude what do you expect? Their pitching is a joke. Rangers blow. A's>Rangershaloraider
Right on, man. A's are competitive every single year, no matter who the hell they trade away. If you want to develop a star (not named Barry Zito), send him to Oakland. They'll make him beastly and then trade him for moolah.
COMPETITIVE!!!! You so crazy! But they do make stars and then trade them for some $$$$ and then put a curse on them so they will never be good again.
[QUOTE="speedjunkie4"][QUOTE="patriots2871"][QUOTE="Ryder004"]Patriots 1.:DESPN ranks WR cores 1-32

patriots2871

I don't need to guess:PI wanna guess, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Jabar Gaffney, Randy Moss a healthy Chad Jackson and don't forget Randy Moss and Randy Moss!!
[QUOTE="WhiteSamurai209"]I remember reading your "... The witch is dead!" post (or something like that) -- and after a few hours it was gone, deleted. I assumed YOU deleted it :?What the hell, I say something less than that about Desmond Howard and it gets deleted, racists! But I agree 100% with what you say, because of him I'm afraid to watch ESPN.
JackBurton
Nope, and it getting deleted ruined my day
