No one is criticizing her because she spoke her mind. They're criticizing her because she has this opinion. They're probably glad she said it. They're doing exactly what it seems every other poster in this thread seems to be criticizing THEM for doing: speaking THEIR mind. And the personal attacks are probably because she did not only have a stupid opinion but sounded like an idiot and didn't manage to construct a coherent sentence. Not to mention she looked crosseyed while doing it. Stupid people generally have blank, vacuous eyes that go crosseyed when they're trying to say something intelligent.

I write fiction, but that would be a little too lengthy to post and I know very well no one would read it.:PGabuEx
I doubt anyone who's here in the first place has anything better to do. I'd like to read it anyways.

A film director, screenwriter, film composer and billionaire businessman. I want to be like Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, John Williams and Warren Buffet all wrapped into one but younger/less dead. I'll probably be dead before I even accomplish one of those things.

I say taxi driver and Robert De Niro in general. Taxi driver was slow, boring and half pointless. Yes we get it, he is very lonely andis disgusted with the city.He feels guilty not helping the little hoe and tries to get her out of that environment. Robert De Niro played a stiff, awkward creep. Is that so hard? Poedon
Spoilers by the way. Taxi Driver was about how Travis was a social outcast, desperately lonely and alienated and how he saw himself as sort of a defense against the society he hated. He didn't feel guilty for not helping the "little hoe", he felt like he was her and the campaign worker's saviour. He tried to "save" the campaign worker (Betsy) by killing the political candidate and when that failed he went to save Iris (the twelve year old prostitute). Neither of them asked to be saved and it was suggested that Iris was content where she was and it was never explained why she ran away from home and Betsy certainly didn't seem unhappy with her job or life.

De Niro gave an unbelievable performance in this movie. He was a social retard and his reaction to Betsy's reaction to him taking her to a porno theater for their date and then the rejection scene over the phone and the mirror scene and when he was talking to the secret service agent and several other scenes in the movie were so well acted by De Niro. He made us feel for Travis even though he wasn't the typical character audiences would feel for.

I think you should watch the movie again.

I think people want to be called depressed to have a reason to feel self-pity and to have an excuse for their behaviour. If you're being lazy you feel guilty for it but if you can just say "Oh it's just my depression, I'm just sick," then you're guilt free, right? No one wants to be depressed but people, especially teenagers, want to be called or classified depressed. It's the same with ADD. When I was 13-15 all the lazy, bad students claimed to have ADD. They claimed their doctor classified them as having ADD but they used this as an excuse not to study and to be bad students.

Claiming to be depressed in most cases is just a way for the person to feel better about himself (to regret his behaviour less) and as an excuse. If you go to a real doctor and he tells you that you're seriously clinically depressed that's another issue.

You insult people who have the actual illness by claiming you're depressed because you've felt a bit down for a few months or because you're stressed or because your girlfriend broke up with you. Depression is a whole lot more than feeling down a lot.

I think GTA IV's gameplay was a lot better, as in, the gunplay was in every single way a trillion times better. The movement of the character (jumping over obstacles, climbing, taking cover) and all that was a lot better as well but San Andreas had a lot more to it in every other way. You had stealth and silenced pistols and knife stealth kills, bicycles, a huge countryside, airplanes, jetpacks, a longer story, three different cities and car and character customization.

It was also a lot easier to get to know your way around, most likely because you weren't constantly looking at the radar because of the path being highlighted so you could actually look at the environment and you had to pause to study the map. And probably also because the environments were a lot more diverse. In GTA IV you can't go ANYWHERE without there being very similar apartment and office buildings.

Whoever said IV had a better story, I don't agree with that. GTA games are just interesting character after interesting character after interesting character. They don't really have a plot. The "plot" just moves you from A to B and from gunfight to car chase. And they're never about anything. The generic protagonist arrives in city x and needs cash but still he only ever spends it on guns and eventually he kills all the bad guys.

As is always the case with PC DLC you can get it for free. If you wouldn't have paid for it anyways the world is indifferent to it.

You would let your country be taken over??? Whatever suits you.Vilot_Hero
Who cares about where you happened to be born? It's arbitrary and meaningless. I'm more interested in living. I'd die for a good cause, like if my death meant 1,000,000 stupid people would also die but I wouldn't die for my country. And dying for your country is a weird way to say it. Like Patton said "You don't win a war by dying for your country. You win a war by making the other sonofa***** die for his."
