I've been away from Gamespot for a while now. This all relates to me having to go to school, work 40 hours a week, and othe rmiscellaneous activities, like playing video games. Anyway, I came here today to ask a serious question. What if I told you I wanted to start a website? I've managed websites in the past, some with great success, and I have a website with a friend of mine right now that gets around 300 unique views a day. However, what I want to start would be something different than I have ever done before. I want to build a gaming website. A place different than the others. A place that REAL gamers can go to to get reviews, from REAL gamers. Not big time writers that get access to behind the scenes or fly to a different state to see the unveiling of a video game. I'm talking about regular joe's that rent and buy there games, play them, and give their legitimate opinions of them. I did this before with a music website of mine, except I ran it by myself. Within 3 months, I was getting press releases from a few record labels, and a band from Canada emailed me after an interview and said that an indie label was going to help produce their debut album due to my website. I was impressed, and I would like to do something bigger, and better with video games. However, I do not have the time, nor the money, nor all the resources to cover all of the gaming world. I'd like to write reviews, sneak peaks, opinions, and etc about the PS3 and Xbox 360. But, I would also like the site to include the Wii, as well as the handheld systems, and the PC. So I come to you looking for ideas, opinions, and advice for this project. I also come to you looking for writers who would be dedicated enough to help me with this project. Especially quality writers with access and expertise to the PC, nintendo, and handheld systems. Other inquiries will not necessarily be turned down though. I am not a perfect writer myself, but I do know how to express myself through my writing. Any serious inquiries can PM me on this project. Please feel free to comment. Thanks Gamespot.

If you are like me, then not every game appeals to you. Certain factors make me dislike, or like a game. However, my friend on the other hand, likes just about anything you put into his hands. My questions is this, what massive titles that everyone else likes, do you dislike?
Mine are as follows:
- GTA (only San Andreas was worth while to me)
- MGS (the older ones are meh, but 4 was disgraceful)
- Fallout (Hate. With. Passion.)
What are yours?
I really don't think that LBP2 will win game of the year. There are SO many good titles coming out this year, that by Q3 I think LBP2 will kind of be forgotten about. Granted, the entire LBP series is awesome, but there are just a lot of bigger titles coming.
Yeah, my backlog is so large, and my damn OCD trophy addiction makes me always try for 100%.

I'm addicted to the whole trophy aspect as well. Though I don't always try fr 100%, but if I like the game, I'll try and obtain as many as I can. Some just aren't worth it though.

No. 'Fat' and 'Slim' PS3 system play games equally.
New Vegas is broken glitch video game that shouldn't be released in such state in the first place.

This. I hate Fallout anyway. The entire series. Rubbish.
Anyway, I have a slim PS3 and it even freezes sometimes. However, upon inspection it is usually because of a fingerprint on the game or something, and not the actual PS3 itself.
Fallout 3, 2, and 1 are good. Only Fallout New Vegas sucks.
I personally don't like any of them. I tried Fallout 2 and disliked it. Then when 3 came out I decided to give it another chance, and I played about an hour or two of it and never played it again. They just don't interest me I guess.

I'm talking by the sheer amount of games these days. Especially when they are $60 a pop. Even if you wait a while to pick up a game, it is usually about $25 to $40. Granted there are exceptions. Anyway, I feel like every year I look forward to quite a few games, but I never get to get them all. Factors like time and money usually end up haulting my gaming experience. I always have a set list of games that I want, eventually other games pop up, and my list gets moved around and jumbled. Then I end up where I am now. I've been looking forward to Arkham Asylum since it very first came out, yet I haven't been able to get it yet. I've been to busy with other games (some newer, some older). The same goes for Demon's Souls. My question is, do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of good games there are?
My old Fat ylod'd me for the 2nd time so I fixed her up one last time and went out and bought a 160gig. During the data transfer between the 2 it has become stuck at 75% What should I do now? If I cancel I'm not sure I'll even get it back to that point but if I have to shut off 1 or both of the PS3s I'm afraid of hd corruption . . .
porkchopxp
I simply think that unfortunately you are out of luck. You are right, if you pull the plug, you will most likely face HD corruption. However, if you stay where you are, your transfer will never complete. I think you are just flat out stuck. I'm sorry.
Good lord. This game just pissed me off today. No, this is not another general rant thread from another FF fanboy whose dreams were crushed when Square Enix decided to make "a bad FF game". I actually enjoy the game. Everything about it I like; the characters, the visuals, the combat, the story, everthing.
Anyway, for those of you that have beat the game or are past chapter 10...WTF. Simply just what in the bleeeeeeeeeeep.
You go through 10 semi easy chapters where you achieve the occassional deaths here and there, but nothing major. Then when you wind up in Gran Pulse, all hell breaks loose. You die every 4 seconds against the most common enemies that you can find on Gran Pulse. What? Why would they make the game so that you can play solidly from chapters 1-10 and then have to take a good 4 or 5 hours (minimum) out of the story to grind levels? That's honestly just stupid.
My question to you is, did you even complete FFXIII? I'm hearing horror stories from chapters 11 onwards, and honestly it's sounding miserable. I was happy through the whole game until now. I've done a few Fal'Cie side missions, and it's just pretty awful. Not enough Gil, not enough CP. It literally went from being ahead of the game to being in dead last all in about a 5 minute cinematic. What to do Gamespot?
Swords & Soldiers.
