it can by "other means" anyway just try to sell ur computer if u can. and have the forum build u a gaming computer for ur budget! or keep ur computer for spare parts like the HDD and dvd rom but still. i have seen budgets with 300$ up to 3000$ and all builds were good.when I got this computer 4 yrs ago I thought it was great and fast, just added a GeForce 6600 and then later a Creative XFI card. I really didnt play games much then. But instead of getting a ps3 or xbox I decided to do it the pc way. This pc cant even play blu-ray movies :(

instead of buying a whole new rig or trading, why not just fix urs? whast ur current specs? also that sounds like a drivers issue with the sound cad.actually I can playDirt 2 on ultra settings, but the sounds in the video parts just skip[s as does it freeze during those parts as well. weird I know. But that game is so flawed anyway, although it could be my cpu that keeps me from starting the 2nd race...idk. I tried the patch and it wont even install for some reason.

lol he is a noob that is stuck on the pirated version of GTA. he obliviously wants this game for free with no live bothering him.live doesnt prevent you from doing either of those things.

he doesnt understand that there is more on the internet then just a virus. im pretty sure he has no idea what a virus even does. any who some people clearly said the best solution for ur problemo. u need to reformat that hdd and do a nice clean FRESH install of windows XX w/e u have and install ur drivers and programs that u trust! not the same c*** u installed that caused this problem. oh and get 1 anti virus program and that's it. i suggest AVAST home edition.Just consider that I am knowledgeable and the symptoms you are having are not hardware related, but hey if you don't believe me go and buy yourself a new HDD and install windows on it. Better yet just format the one you have and reinstall and I assure you the issue wont continue because it's corruption/malware in your system.

he said he has a antec 900. so yes he does, and u do have to do that for all the coolers. i dont understand why dont u get the 212+? i mean it fits in ur antec just take off the side fan and problem is solved.Like everyone suggested 212+ is great and you def get low temps, but it got noisier than before, yet not to a noticeable level though. Because usually you'd be playin music/video/games. And I also had to take off one of my side fans to fit that cooler in my case.
Oh and in some cases you dont have to take the MB off, if there's an opening at the back, you can install the bracket w/o removing the MB.

do you know if i have to remove my motherboard to mount it if so if that common for most pc coolers?jak522yea u have to, so u can mount the brackets on teh back of the mobo of the front to get a support for the cooler.
lmao, conesdanially i dont no how to spell :P but i got the ANTEC 900 case 1 and i have this cooler of course :D but yes it is very quiet when its idling and even when its on a full load as well. but i have full fans in my case so i dont no what setup u have. but fitting it in there was a tad bit tricky, i had to mod my side fan alittle by cutting it but nothing to big. i can post some pics if u would like.
Edit: idk why it came out black. Also i want to mention that i oced my cpu which is a E7400 to 3.36 GHz and its at temps of 25C and 41C load. very good cooler, im thinking of doing a push pull setup with it.
