You paid all that money for that screen and that graphics card and you are running it through VGA?!!?!?! Do yourself a favor and spend the a few bucks on this - DVI to HDMI cable and this Audio Y Cable Splitter 1-Mini Plug/2-RCA Plugs Plug the video cable it into HDMI port 2 and the audio into the audio port next to it labled DVI-in/HDMI (the port next to it). Your video quality and color will improve noticeably. depends on your TV and what you plan on doing. If you have a large LCD capable of 19x12 1080p and are going to play Crysis on it, you might want to get some high end gear. give us more info about your intentions and current setup and we can help point you in a better direction.

im getting married, $100 dollar HDMI cables aren't in my budget at the moment. especially not when i can pump the audio directly out of my sound card to my surround sound system. when cost isnt prohibitive, (ever try telling your fiance that a 100 dollar cable is worth spending the money on over a wedding costs?) anymore. im not going to toss money at converters or splitters either, when down the road im just going to go HDMI anyway. First off, congrats. Second off I don't think you understand, DVI IS HDMI, just minus the sound and a different shape connector. You have a DVI out on your video card, you have a HDMI in on the TV, the cable I linked you to is a 9 dollar DVI to HDMI cable. You just plug it in and you are golden, it will really improve the picture quality. The way you have it setup now is CONVERTING it down to VGA quality from HDMI/DVI quality. You spent quite a bit on that card, and running it through VGA is kinda like buying a Ferrari and then buying the cheapest possible tires and gas for it, your not really taking full advantage.
