ok so I'm a F1 fan and the game was one of the main reasons that I bought the ps3. Now when I try to play on line I have problems connecting to the servers. Every time it tells me that the connection has timed out or similar things. Then when few times I click retry it goes to the next screen but it happens basically every time I try to do something and it gets frustrating. So is my internet connection so weak or what? Once I get into the game everything seems okay but just getting there takes forever.
I was trying to play Resistance on line too and there was no problems getting into the game but almost every time it was throwing me out of the game after few minutes.
Before I thought that my connection is great since the downloads goes very fast and everything works so I don't know what's going on.

no idea. I wonder if mine would be working if I would connect it straight to the modem. Let me know when you will try your new ps3.

Good news!! I took it to my neighbor and it works fine! No problems with the connection at all. I connected it at my place now and it still doesn't work. Maybe I will borrow his router to see if that's the problem or just something with the connection at my place. The good thing is that there is nothing wrong with the ps3!

okay so it is the router. I brought his and it was working at my place. That's weird because I tried the two routers that I have and it didn't work. They are pretty crappy so maybe that's why. I will talk tomorrow or on Tuesday with the guy that manages internet in my building and maybe he will be able to help me so I don't have to buy a new router.

I just talked with the service support and the only thing they could think of was that it is the router's fault. The told me to call my routher company and give them some numbers that they told me. They said that they already had few phone call with the same problem.

it didn't work on mine too. Yes, that's just stupid. I really don't know what else to do with it.

one guy at other forum wrote "Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back swtich and remove the power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 mintues, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on(if using one) and let it sycn. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back swtich up again. Then make a new network connnection."
