Again, I don't seem to remember outrage about this. I suppose I could have missed it; I don't pay that much attention to these kinds of things. But I don't recall outrage. Everyone I know, myself included, was a little hesitant, just because it was such a departure from what he had done before, but confident that he would do it justice, because he'd already proven himself to be a phenomenal actor.
It was like "the guy who did Brokeback Mountain? are you fvcking kidding me?".
He was famous as the chick flick pretty boy movie actor, he's a good actor but it was not possible for anybody to picture him as the joker.
Brokeback Mountain is about a hundred times better than any Batman film
