I was somewhat interested in the movie but this thread has turned me off as LostProphet has proven himself time and again to be a clueless piece of tasteless garbage

While two games give the option of playing as female - Defiance and Fuse. Four games is pathetic when compared to the over abundance of male lead only titles and the constant lazy excuses from lazy, sexist publishers and developers like Rockstar, Ubisoft, Activision and many more. Why should female gamers be forced to relate to male characters, why should they be forced to put up with one generic male lead after another? There is nothing at all creative about male leads, they've been done to death multiple times and are always the same old thing. A 47% female gamer demographic is not a minority, it is not a small number, that is a lot of potential profits that are untapped and hardly ever marketed to, add that with male gamers who are bored of the usual dull male leads plus the much wider gamer demographic as a whole who is not some heterosexual, cis-gender male - usually white since that's what publishers and developers think all gamers are. Refusing to market to a wider demographic is very restrictive for an industry that is doing the same stale ideas time and time again, there's no room for any creative potential when you do male lead after male lead while any female characters are little more than sidekicks, damsels, sex toys, prizes to be won, things to be used, abused and thrown away due to how the female half of the species is seen by many publishers, developers and insecure male gamers. Finally giving players the choice to play as female in a Rockstar game would have helped their boring junk finally be more than sexist rubbish that should be frankly scrapped for doing more of the same, it would have shown a greater potential for not just their games, but for games as a whole and hopefully encouraged other publishers and developers to finally reach out to a wider demographic bit by bit. But instead of doing something new, they went and did the same old thing once again and proved exactly how sexist and hateful they are of difference outside of heterosexual, cis-gender males. And it's not just the publishers and developers who are to blame, it's the many gamers - males especially so - who have kept demanding more of the same boring nonsense for years while refusing to ever allow any imagination, any progress, any change, any chance of new ideas finally appearing. They are so scared of accepting the wider diversity around them that they are restricting the video game industry from maturing and moving beyond it's immature boys club mentality. Like it or not, but the video game industry needs to change in regards of it's attitudes and ignorant, restrictive mentalities that are not helping anyone. Moving beyond the sexist, ignorant attitudes that are so common with many would mean vastly better games for everyone.

what's legitimately odd is that out of three characters in a game based in Southern California not one is hispanic

they should make more games with female characters they should also make less games in which you must kill 500 people in order to finish the story
