I don't quite get the importance of the comparison. It's not a matter that the 360 can't do it but that it's being emphasized that the Xbox ONE is having more time spent on better optimization of the audio software and headsets. If anything the recording quality of audio is great (even better) using the original Kinect. I don't even use a headphone unless I absolutely have to. It was at least one of the benefits of owning the Kinect for the 360 for me. I have the Wireless and wired headsets and they weren't that great.
Well we know the number of characters are small even with purchased content but what about the number of arenas? I really haven't heard much about that. Playing over and over in the a some scenery gets boring quick.
Picked up my Call of Duty Black OPS: Declassified edition after work today. Considering I got the PSP Vita, the Call of Duty Black OPS game and a Memory card all for 199.99 and that the game was still retailing for $49.99 by its self, I won't complain. If you can find the bundled editions in any stores in your area while they last I'd say go for it.
Really there isn't another OS out there that the everyday consumer could use unless they bought an Apple Computer. Linux is't necessarily consumer friendly unless you know something about programming. Windows isn't perfect but at least a fair percentage of us can trouble shoot for ourselves or correction, I can in most cases. lol
I hope so. Honestly I've been watching MS every since the Windows 8 release, and then its tablets, etc. and every time it's made very obvious mistakes that could have been avoided with each product they've brought to market. Believe me when I say I'm not anti-MS at all---I would have bought everyone of these products for the synergy of the products but I saw too many "oops", situations. I just try to maintain an unbiased attitude when it comes to tech purchases. lol Also, I'll miss not having the Halo franchise around if things don't improve.
I think I'll wait to see how MS does with the Xbox ONE's release this coming holiday and see how it handles things next E3 before I consider buying one next November as a birthday gift to myself. I'll just stick with my 360 and getting a PS4 this year. Speaking for myself, MS has a great deal to prove right now after leaving me with some very bad vibes this year. They are back at square one with me on various sides, PC, tablet, and the Xbox ONE. All I can say is, "It is what it is." I hope that it can get rid of some of the negative energy I'm feeling from it. This is the 1st time I've ever been afraid of buy anything that has MS associated with it.
Sounds like MS is opening a horrible can of worms. There is nothing like having gamers spy on each other and becoming global rats. The way I see it if you're not on my friends list on Live I don't care what you do. lol I added you because I wanted you there and enjoyed having you as a friend. I'm not there to judge you by my standards. If you offend me, "BLOCK" is there for a reason.
I think it's obvious why Xbox ONE and PS4 preorders are higher than Xbox 360 and PS3 preorder were last time. Lol. Most of us that were crazy enough to stand out in the cold all night before at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Gamestop, etc. crossing our fingers to get one of the systems before they sold out day one are smarter this time. lol The only systems I've ever done that for were the Xbox 360 and the PSP handheld. I promised myself that they would be the last.
@Vegeta-sama I don't think you got my meaning. When I used the word entertainment it was in the same since that it has been used for years by various companies --- Nintendo, Sega, Atari, Sony, etc --- not as you are taking it. I didn't mean Xbox Music, or video, etc. When I think Xbox I don't think about or use any of those service. My concern is that MS isn't very clear on anything when it comes to Xbox ONE as it was with the Xbox 360. Gamers and the gaming community have to spend too much time attempting to read between the lines and that's not good. That shows a lack of synergy and can destroy a product release.
I really feel like MS is back at square one when it comes to gaming and the Xbox ONE. And to explain that statement, it got lucky with the Xbox 360 due to having the right team in place when it came out. I think the "MS" team at that time understood gaming and really had the energy and enthusiasm to make the console work as a gaming console not a "be-all-end-all" entertainment box. I think also that they were better centered than the "MS" of today. They focused on gaming and realized that 1st of all the Xbox 360 was a gaming console first and anything else was an extra. The console had room to grow. If you look at MS as a company right now it is fragmented in it's product lines and the Xbox One is now being added to the mix as MS wants to treat it like it's other products for business/entertainment settings. The fact is MS has a great deal of work to do in improving consumer confidence in it when it comes to the Xbox ONE. Because, when it comes down to it, it doesn't matter how good the console is if it is managed poorly. I don't doubt that Julie Larson-Green will do an excellent job at what she has to do but I do feel sorry for her due to the mess she will be in the center of. The Xbox ONE Entertainment Console should be kept/managed separately from the rest of MS if it hopes to succeed. The less these guys appear to know about their own products when facing consumers the more nails they hammer in its coffin. At the moment I don't have any confidence in MS's ability to bring out a new console and properly promote it. And I'm not anti-MS but realistic. I bought the Original Xbox and Xbox 360 day one but after some thought will give MS a year or two to prove itself this time before a purchase if at all.
