Yeah, I did. Everything's dead. Robot's still catatonic. =\

So yeah, anyways, I'm playing though the first half-hour or so of Borderlands, and I'm already clueless where to go. I followed the little annoying robot around, but all of a sudden, he just stops in the middle of this open townlike area, not telling me what to do. On my map, it says there are a bunch of shops and what not, but I don't actually see them in the real world.
This probably seems really stupid that I stuck so early in a game, but if you could point me in the right direction, I'd appreachiate it.
That's very strange. I bought the Razer Carcharias, figuring it was a very good quality headset, and didn't mess around with all that 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound in headphones stuff.
Personally, I prefer to have a good external speaker system rather than good surround sound in my headphones.
So, it more or less seems like there's a choice to be made: use a headset, or use speakers.
I just wanted a good quality headset to communicate with PC gamers online.
can anyone point me in the right direction??
Judging by what I said, was my decision to buy the Razer headset a bad one???
what you just described is a microphone not a headset. I guess you could try unplugging the audio out on your headset if you really dont want to hear anything on your headset, other than that there isn't really anything you could do.

Well, yeah, it's a headset with a mic. And I do want to hear audio, just the voice chat from other players.
Hey, I just bought my first PC gaming headset. Looking at the set up, pretty straight foreward: pink mic plug into the pink mic jack, and green headphone plug into the gree headphone jack. I did that, but I was kind of disappointed with what I got. The same audio was being channeled though both the headset and my speakers. The mic works fine, but I was wondering if there is a way to set up my headset much like how an Xbox 360 headset works:
-Game audio on PC speakers ONLY
-Voice chat on headset ONLY.
If anyone has any advice for me, I'd greatly apprechiate it. =]
I wanted to game a copy of Halo and/or Halo 2 for the PC, but they don't seem to have digitally distributed the game though Steam or Direct2Drive [yet?].
So I was wondering, if I bought the game at a retail store (Best Buy, Gamestop, etc.), would I need to have the disc inserted to play?
I know you can purchase software to play games off image files without the disc, but I was wondering if you can do this straight out of the box without any additional software. Thanks!
I bought my copy of Crisis Maximum Edition off Amazon, and I got 3 discs: Crisis, Crisis Warhead, and Crisis Wars. So yes, you were unfortunately shorted one disc.
But as for the registration codes, I couldn't get mine to work. I figured if I registered the games, I could play them without the discs. But I could never get them to work, so I just gave up on that.
But yeah, you should definitely go return the game from where ever you bought it, or at least ask for the missing disc. Good luck!
Get a preorder for only 5 dollars. Try the remaining beta weekends. If you like it, get it. If you don't, you're only out 5 dollars. And you can even get a refund of that at some retailers. Try Gamestop or Best Buy. They should have preorder cases with a card inside with a beta key.
That said, I'll definitely be picking it up, and have already played in several of the beta weekends. Just so you know, the endgame does revolve around PvP, so if you're not into that, it's probably not the MMO for you.
Esoteric
Gamestop shows on their site that there's no refund, as well as the entire cost of the game needs to be put down.
But on a side note, how much is it like WOW? Maybe I'll try that to get familiarized with the genre.
Hey all. I've seen a good amout of information posted about the upcoming MMO Aion.
I've never played an MMO before, although I am and RPG fan. And right now, if you preorder Aion, you get access to the beta, but there's a few things I'm worried about.
First, shelling out $50 to $60 on a game that has absolutely no return policy. I don't know if it's going to be a good game, or even if it is, I'll like it and apprechiate it enough.
Second, is the monthly fee. I'm not sure if it's a month by month basis, how much it costs or any other details, such as a discount for buying a year subscription rather than a month.
Third, is the "exclusive' preorder in game items. I'm questioning the value of them, considering I've never played the game as well as exactly how "exclusive" it is.
So if anyone has any advice, opinions or things for me (or anyone else debating the same thing), please post.
Thanks in advance.
