Ahhh ok then. Easy enough. And the second part of my question. When I do "need" to update them I can do it straight from Nvidia right? Cuz I got rid of ASUS live update, heard it was horrid.

I just got a new laptop ASUS G73JW-XA1 Republic of Gamers and I'm wondering as new as it is do I need to update the gpu drivers? it has the Nvidia GTX 460M. I did get rid of ASUS Live Update and other crap programs, so I'm good there. And I can update the gpu drivers straight from Nvidia right? or do I do it from an ASUS site?

The laptop came with a disk, would they give me the tools to remove their software tho?

Not sure if it effects the question, I have win 7 home prem.

Plus I want to remove it and just get my driver updates straight from nvidia.

Strange right? It pops up everytime I startup, but I cant find it in startup.

To add, I cant find anything labeled "ASUS Live Update" in the startup tab in msconfig.
