Progress with TW and Points

Well I am now P4, W2, L2 in the Tiger Woods tournament, which I am happy with. :D

I have been playing Lost Planet, and Heavy Weapon (360) that came out last week. I am not convinced by Lost Planet, but Heavy Weapon is a hoot!

My gamerscore is now 13149 thanks to some fairly easy points from Madden'06 and NHL'06 . Madden actually took me 6-7 hours to fully complete - although straightforward, it seemed to take ages!

Building up the points

I have been busy building up my Gamerscore (11000+) since my last post. I was giving a nice little boost by Fight Night Round 3, and NBA 2k6.

Do I feel ashamed? No way, it is only a bit of fun and I can hardly brag about getting 1000 on NBA 2k6 when everyone does!

I have added some more reviews, which can be seen below. For the Wii checkout Warioware: Smooth Moves: it is quite brilliant. :D

Getting into the swing

I have my first match in the new FFL TW'07 competition tonight against Daffy Ducked.

I put in a few hours practice last night, but I play TW almost as bad as the real thing: my short game is terrible!

Oh well...:?

Hardcore Gears Done!

I finally managed to complete Gears of War on Hardcore difficulty. Thanks to the co-op efforts of AquaXPlorer. Cheers matey.

I have also enjoyed a few games of Assault Heros which is a great XBLA title. I'll get around to a review soon.

Lastly, I finally got the Classic Controller for the Wii so I can enjoy Donkey Kong Country in full retro glory. :D

Classic Gears of War Mayhem

On new years day we had some of the best Gears of War multiplayer matches yet: plenty of chainsaws, last minute melees, and friendly fun...how Gears should be played!
Thanks to RogueSolo72, Michael2402, K1LLER360, MiniMinx, Awsomescrote, D8Hole, AdeptusAce and Brumnick.

Comedy Vegas Moment

Playing co-op last night on Vegas, I successfully managed to blow everyone up right at the start of the level by trying to use my Ninja-like skills to open a Cadbury's Hero chocolate and change the fire mode all at the same time.

Unfortunately, my Ninja-like skills are a little rusty and I manged to press the grenade button and drop the chocolate on the floor.

Result = 3 blown-up "Rainbow Six" team mates and a chocolate covered in carpet fluff!

Christmas Gaming

Not much chance for Christmas gaming this year, but had some fun games of Vegas with the OAPs, and other clans, last night. Thanks Guys.

Early 2007 is looking a bit barren on the 360 and Wii front, so I'll be making the best of the games I bought in the run up to Christmas.

Xbox Live Arcade released New Rally-X today. It is quite possible the worst game yet to grace the arcade. I think M$ need to start exercising some better quality control on the "classics" they release. A "classic" should be just that, not something from an obscure back catalog that is so limited and one-dimensional.

Star Trek Legacy Review

I have finally finished my lengthy review.

Played a bit more Legacy last night before the clan match (vs DoW @ Vegas). It's a very difficult game and requires a bit of perseverance.

Star Trek Legacy and Novadrome

Got hold of my copy of Star Trek Legacy for the '360 this evening, despite some mixed reviews. My first impressions are that it is a flawed but fun game and definitely worth considering if you like Trek. I'll get around to a review soon.

I also downloaded Novadrome from XBMP, and it's not bad either. Basically, it is a clone of "Twisted Metal Black" and could be worth the 800M$ entrance fee. Check it out.

Oh, and Viva Pinata,....level 56 and 800 achievement points...go me! :D

Wii Reviews

I finally got around to writing my Wii launch game reviews, check them out using the links on the bottom of this page.

I am up to level 48 in Viva Pinata now,...not much further before the magic 50! I managed to complete the master romancer on the Elephanillas - they were particularly tough as they kept getting stuck in my garden!
