do you think there is truth to that?

[quote="maxconsole"]

A recently laid off Xbox 360 tester has reportedly rolled out a number of secrets, so here it goes: 1) there is a self destruct command for Xbox 360, 2) MS is software testing MGS 4 on Xbox 360, 3) Software testers are under-paid and given impossible deadlines, 4) MS bans staff from visiting and posting comments on certain sites.

There is a super secret kill-switch remote suicide self-destruct command that if Microsoft really wanted to they can remotely trigger and tell an Xbox 360 to fry itself and die.

This was intended to be a last resort option if a fight against Xbox Live cheaters or major league professional game piracy ever got big.

To their knowledge it has only been done in test situation in the lab but if they wanted to they could have the regular system security sweeps over Xbox Live activate a kill command when it found a compromised hacked Xbox 360 system.

It works by having the Xbox overload a fuse and "pop" the fuse. The Xbox 360 will then crash and then will get an "Red Ring of Death Core Digital" error when the boot-up test comes back with a major component hardware failure. This is not the same as bricking or crashing a system since this will actually do physical damage to the motherboard.

P.S. as usual, apologies if old

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL WIN! I didn't know they had a Xbox self destruct command I should look into this.

[QUOTE="XboxAmbassador"][QUOTE="i-rock-socks"] isnt it a gum? maybe its gonna come to the 360 packed with candy like they used to do in the old days if thats not it i have no idea sensfanVone

I don't think Oxide is gum, maybe derived from gum, but I don't know really. We should Wiki this! Maybe Microsoft is going to make a 360 out of a Pinata, and then they were just kidding, maybe a next series for Viva Pinata: Oxide.

Rated M for Mature.

Win. LOL!

Make it all bad ass, modify it, make some epic changes, like how hot-rods are. Spray paint it red (or black) first for the over-lay, then make some flame vinyls (white or orange), a tint for your dashboard make it like dark black, some epic green tech lines going down to your power button, make sure you have neon lights preferably blue, also modify the engine with nitrogen when you start up the Xbox it'll be like shoot real flames out of the back. Where the fans are. I'd say that'll be pretty bad ass. Also optional include a Gears of War icon, or Halo III icon.

Hmn I just recently viewed this article, it's believable but still we don't know about the whole "Mystery Box" thing. :S so lets get ready to be announced, and hopefully we won't be all "aaaawhh" because we didn't get MGS IV.

You should entitle this: "Who's E3 booth are you hyped for" xD Anyways, I'm just glad it's back in L.A. again, that's the good part. I don't know what I'll expect, so there's many, MANY, new games coming out in the next Summer '09, Fall, '09, and Winter '09. Im looking forward to Mass Effect II in Microsoft's area, as for now, I am deeply looking forward to the rumor of "StarFox for Xbox" thing going on Google. Looking forward to Nintendo's line-up, and Microsoft line-up as well. Eh'...Looking foward to HALO 3: ODST since it's stealth orientated now, is Bungie making a new game? Who knows! We have to wait and see for June's E3 Summer event!

The G4 Interview "Original StarFox creator" Dylan Cuthbert isn't intrested on making it on the Wii. G4: Motion Plus? Cuthbert: Yeah. Maybe that'd be more fun to play with. I don't know. The Wii is a bit more of a toy, I think. Do you honestly think this is a clue? It's been getting to me lately, sure all consoles are toys, but what makes Cuthbert think the Wii is a "toy"? Overall the graphics will have a tedious amounts of needs, remember the Wii holds 480 P, however Xbox 360's graphic chip and Playstation 3 graphic chip holds 1080 i, and the GB's it holds will store enough information for the actual game itself. Too me, I think that nearly Star Fox's contract is nearly done with Nintendo, but key note that it's licensed is owned by Nintendo, although it has been transferred to many third parties, that Microsoft recently bought, like Namco, Rare (etc). Like the good hits, Soul Caliber IV, and Tekken 6 published both by Namco, with the early ages of Nintendo Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts' N' Bolts (Third Party Rare), and there upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game Banjo-Tooie that was a sequel owned by Nintendo but published by Rare entertainment. Rumor control, or just facts?

[QUOTE="SucculentSteak"]After reading all the stuff about the rumored 360 port of MGS4, I thought that would actually be pretty cool. To all the mental midgets out there that say 360 can't handle MGS4, Ps3's and 360's graphical power is virtually the same. The Ps3 just has more cpu power, it can handle better AI and stuff. The problem with the 360 is the limited optical disk space, meaning that they would have to have multiple disks. It sucks, but on the Ps3 you have to reinstall the game data to the hard drive every time you want to play a different act, so multiple disks would actually be faster. But I wonder about the online service. On the Ps3, Konami had their own service for MGO {Metal Gear Online}, completely separate from PSN. Now I don't think MS would allow them to do that on 360 because they require all 360 games to utilize LIVE, and have achievements and crap. Now if they did have MGS4 and MGO on 360, and they used their own service, they could possibly link the 360 and Ps3 players together. Now THAT would be awesome. Then I could CQC all my trash-talkin friends on 360 and slit their throats for good, lol. Oh yeah, and I don't discriminate. I have Ps3, 360, and Wii!!!!111!!111!! Best of 3 worlds!!!11!!11!!1!!!!

No sorry, the rumor is false, there is no way in chance that MGS IV is going to be on Xbox 360. Even Hideo Kojima promised the developers for the PS3. But they're making a MGS IV on a iPod Touch, or something like that (iPhone perhaps) don't really know, this is the same with Killzone II, it's all exclusive for PS3, if you don't have a PS3, then you can't play MGS IV or Killzone II.

i just hope this one doesnt have the supid time system the first one had, thats the only reason i never got into that game

JayQproductions
I hope the save system is better, than the original system. Hated sleeping on that couch all the time just to save. Only bad thing about that, but they mastered the play system well.
