Name all of the reasons there were for an XBox 360 in its first three months on store shelves. Ready, and...GO!EtherTwilight

I can name plenty, but all I need to do is name 1.

1. The only NEXT GEN system available for the next year

A lot of people here do not see a reason to own a PS3 right now...but I see a lot of rabid Cows on here all the time. Well here's your chance cows, tell everyone why a PS3 is worth owning right NOW!!!

If you can!

Oh and just a reminder: People buy gaming systems to play...shock...video games!! Not for the "potential of games" or an unproven movie format.

1. Price:

SixAxis - $50

Wiimote - $40, Nunchuck $20

Winner - Wiimote/Nunchuck Ultimate combo! The Wiimote alone is cheaper than the SixAxis and gives full motion and pointing capabilities for $10 cheaper! Also replacement is a factor here. Controllers fail and have to be replaced almost exclusively because of a worn out or broken analog stick. The Wiimote does not have one and can survive abuse like no other controller. You will likely never have to replace your Wiimote EVER! So replacement costs for a Wiimote/Nunchuck controller is only $20, while you'll have to shell out another $50 for a SixAxis when the analog fails.SpruceCaboose

Stopped reading right here. $40 + $20 = $60 which is $10 more than $50. If you are saying just the Wiimote, you lose as well, since most games require a Nunchuck.

While I agree the Wiimote is a better controller, you use opinions and flawed logic to make your points. Just come out and say you like one better. Not every opinion needs to be justified.

You should have kept reading. Most of the best games out right now for the Wii do not require the Wiimote.

[QUOTE="JacobD1505"]The launch of the PS3 was more successful (in numbers) than both the PS1 and PS2...I don't see why so many people deam it a failure.  There is so much negative tension towards the PS3.  I have the a 360, PS3, and soon a Wii.  But the 360 has been out for over a year and it has released two GREAT games (Gears of War and Oblivion).  The PS3 has released one, and about to release another (according to Electronic Gaming Monthly) V.F.5.  My 360 sits for days, even weeks without being played.  I find it ridiculous that 360 provides barely any great games(2 for over a year)...and sadly...the system is bases its whole campaign around two games now?? -G.O.W. and Halo, let me take that back....just Gears of War, because Halo 3 has yet to be released.  But I do find it ridiculous that the PS3 cost me $600...and I've only played one Great game one it...but I really still have until next november before I can really start comparing the two.  Truthfully....I still have more fun with PS2 games.....Rogue Galaxy...Final Fantasy XII....and I can not wait for God of War 2.  SO right now...my hat goes to the PS2. palaric8

One major difference here. The launch of the PS1 & PS2 were plagued by shortages of systems. The launch of the PS3 is also plagued with system shortages....the difference is it is also plagued by even worse demand.

umh what?

I guess I have to explain more. For the PS2 launch Sony cut the total launch numbers by 500k units to 500k. Sony also cut their PS3 launch numbers down to about 500k. The PS2 was sold out for months, while the PS3 was widely available at retail about 2 weeks after launch. (even though cows here won't admit it....hell some are barely able to admit it now lol)
