While I don't want to make any closed-minded absolute claims in this thread, I personally don't believe that anything comes after death. But do I know? No, I do not. However if the soul or whatever is a spirit or anything like that I don't believe it, and I think it's incorrect to assume a soul exists. I know the main argument in this thread is: "It is impossible to ascertain what exactly happens after death". So why even bring up something as fantastic as a soul or alternate realms? If there is no proof, and therefore no reason to believe in it, why would you? Isn't the default explanation that souls do not exist and that our presence here on earth is purely physical? This is my opinion anyway, these metaphysical ideas are all hypothesized by men, and have no real merit in my opinion.

Pretty much sums up what I wanted to say thanks =D

[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="racer8dan"]God is everlasting thats why he's God. It makes way more sense to me something was everlasting than to believe, there was once nothing and now theres something, how was all of that matter generated? Theres no such thing as nothing, theres always something.racer8dan

Why can't the universe be everlasting?

Sure it can, but thats the exact thing science is trying to disprove, there must be a logical explanation, right?

The last time I heard I think science said something about the planets being spead apart and eventualy they will all come together and another ''big bang'' will occur and the universe will rebrith or something...Correct me if i'm wrong cause i'm not 100% sure I heard it right.

[QUOTE="Xorital"]As in there must be something at the start created by something. but what created that something? If there is a god how was he/she/it created? if everything was created by something then what created the first something....ouch my head.hiphops_savior
One problem, you're assuming that the Creator must exist within the dimensions of time and space. If the Creator started the dimensions of time and space, the Creator must exist outside of the two dimensions. Thus, it is possible that the Creator have not been created if the Creator doesn't follow a timeline. Besides, infinite cannot be measured.

So then what if theres a 4D space like in star ocean? What created that space? It's very complicated once we think about it..

[QUOTE="Xorital"]Why would it be on me if i'm not the only one who believes this? No one can provide proof on anything unless I literally died and came back to life. I havnt seen proof on this topic from anyone, so why only me?

You made the claim an absolute one... since there is no evidence to support such a claim, it is fallacious. It is impossible to "know" what, if anything, comes after death... just like it is (currently) impossible to know what happened before the big bang.

I said in one of my first posts its my hypothesis and i'd sooner believe it than anything else.

Also the NDE link was interesting..but it's something I can't believe unless it actualy happened to me.

Why does God = "man in the clouds" lol. Sounds like you've never had a proper explanation as to what a Higher Power might actually be. It's certainly a whole lot more than an old man with a beard in the clouds. So your hypothesis is that the Universe just popped into existence by accident with all the proper ingredients and laws of physics to one day evolve into self aware matter that could look back on the very Universe it was birthed from and ponder it's existence?

racer8dan

Sure why not /sarcasm

No one knows how the universe came to be, scientists have theories which i'm more likley to believe because they probably have back up evidence, but i'm not about to believe a thousand year old book that man created to help them sleep at night.

You can't get something from nothing. There must be something everlasting.

[QUOTE="Xorital"]Prove there is a god and that'll challenge me to find proof for these things, it is my hypothesis but it is closer than believing in a man in the clouds.

foxhound_fox

Ah, but I have said nothing about God. In fact, I am a non-theist. You made an absolute, affirmative claim that nothing exists after death... now you get to prove it. The burden of proof lies on you, not me. I'm not trying to prove God exists... you are trying to disprove that he does. So go ahead, show me some evidence.

Why would it be on me if i'm not the only one who believes this? No one can provide proof on anything unless I literally died and came back to life. I havnt seen proof on this topic from anyone, so why only me?

Okay, since you are affirmatively claiming these things... prove them with objective evidence. Prove that souls do not exist, and that there is "nothing" after death (even a continued energy).

I would be that normal average guy that looks weak then you try to kick him or someone he cares about around and he will unleash super ninjutsu on your ass...I also bake delicious brownies.
