Hmm.. I suppose your right. but the course i'd be doing at university would be a specific computer game programming course. I'm pretty certain that can get me jobs in programming regardless of what field, but for game programming you really need to have a love for the games to be in it. Thanks alot for the help thoughPlenty of things require programmers outside of the video game industry. If sitting at a computer typing all day is what you really want to do with your life the field won't make much of a difference.

Well it's not a post about some crazy guy doin crazy impossible stuff, it's just a question to see what you guys think.
I'm currently waiting to start a course in computing, which will then hopefully lead to a career in game programming. But i'm not sure about one thing. I seem to think i'm going off gaming, whether it's just a weird time in my life or whether i'm genuinely going off gaming i do not know but.. could i still be a game-programmer if i lose my love for gaming?
any opinions provided i'm very grateful for :D

you can't do ranked co-op man, unlucky :( might be able to if your friend recovers a gold account though, not sureIm trying to play a ranked match on fifa 09 at the moment with 2 people on the same console however it will not let a guest sign in, if someone else tries to sign in as guest, the ea servers kick me out and i get the message "Cant sign into Xbox Live. Please use a profile that contains a valid membership"
Anyone know how to get around this?

Yes I do. If it were free, then people would constantly change their gamertags, resulting in confusion. You would never know who was who if they changed their gamertags so frequently

You said it well my friend.
Yeah i agree, the way i see it also is that on PS3, you can't change your name; Want a new name on ps3? need to make a new account. Nobodies forcing you to change your name, maybe they're encouraging you to keep your name but leaving the option open if your desperate :)I think so.. Not 100% Though. Can you lose skill points or experience points and go down in rank if you lose or place low in too many matches? I'm thinking of letting a friend play on my account, but I know he'll lose and I don't want to go down in rank...

I've downloaded a few, Pac-Man, Defender, Small Arms..
Obviously you'll never be able to afford AS much, but still you'll be able to get a bit. Just get ones that you really want, not ones just to test. :)
Congratulations on your new house also :)
