well i just got the new processor from a freind, and i am pretty new too overclocking so i was going to give iot a shot. all i know is that i can not hit past 3.5ish and run it steady. all i did was up my voltage a bit. but i really dont know what else to do... i have gskill 800mhz ram 8 gigs, you think i should get 1060 or should i be able to get 4ghz with this? i also have an ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 heatsink and i was wondering if this is ok to even do this?

here is my specs.

windows 7 64bit

qx9650

evga260 192 core 896mb

8gb gskill 800mhz

750 watt corsair power supply

gigabyte ep45-ud3p motherboard

antec 900
