399 games... I have to make the next one count!

Ok, so my collection has hit 399... this makes it a difficult choice for me... now that I am actually AWARE of the total number, I just can't make a choice. Do I just buy w/e game that comes that I want? Or do I wait for a worthy DS game? Import a DS game? What about my old Dreamcast, there's some rare ones I still want BAD... I JUST DON'T KNOW!!!

Nearly Everything DS

I was looking for something to do tonight, so I decided to line up most of my DS stuff... I didn't line up all my styluses & all that little junk, cuz it seemed pointless, but here is the bulk of it!

It's 3:00pm EST, Memorial Day...

And as my sign of respect that we are to take to honor our men & women in service of past & present, I would like to take this time to say thank you for your service to our country. Our country & world would not be what it is today without your service over the past 200+ years. So thank you for what you have done for us & others so selflessly and will continue to do in the future.

Quite the surprise!

I wrote a review tonight & am writing this blog to tell people to go out and get Over the Hedge for the Nintendo DS. I didn't quite believe that a movie based game could actually be good (especially on the DS0, but I was glad to not be disappointed & to find myself truly enjoying this game. Check my review here http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/overthehedge/player_review.html?id=317500 and then if your convinced, go get it (or at the LEAST rent it!)

4 years gone & past... College Graduation!

Well, it's finally here... the day that seemed to take forever to come, yet now that is here seemed to come all too quickly, my college graduation. It's been 4 years of classes, work, and commuting (not to mention the student loans :-P ) but it was all worth it to finally get ahold of my Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration in the major of Accounting. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, so I was pretty proud of myself, as was my family. The only pain in the ass part... I start grad school tomorrow... so I have a few hours of break between undergrad & grad studies. Oh well, that's life!

Greatest chat program EVER!

Well, I'm online a LOT, because a) love being on gaming forums and b) chat programs are great to stay in touch with & chat with people. But I got pissed off at MSN a week or two ago after it sent me an advertisement after I sent a link (and no, it wasn't a virus). And I don't like AIm all that much & I know keep running into people with Yahoo... so I finally got Trillian. And may I just say, greatest chat program EVER! Have all my accounts moved onto the one program, its great.

I have hit a milestone!

Well, anyone that knows me from the DS forums knows I have one of the absolutely most crazy DS collections with more games than some EBGames even have in stock for the DS. Well today, I did it... the Nintendo DS is now the system I have with THE MOST games! I now have 61 DS games. And it is truly fitting that the 61st game is New Super Mario Bros. And for anyone that don't believe me... here is my collection, with the usual Gloomy accomanying my games.

Not Wii, ACT

Seriously Nintendo, look around you. Ever since the naming of the "Revolution" to Wii, your upcoming console has become little more than a joke. People on forums can't help but make fun of the name, pointing out its various english-sounding meanings, such as penis, urine, and small. Gamespot & many other sites still have their staff constantly cracking Wii jokes. And most of all, even you, Nintendo, had to realize you had an awful thing here if you had to reveal the name this far ahead of time. So you want a name that doesn't sound like something to scare off non-gaming consumers, but does one that can evoke such negative things one you want? I wouldn't think so, at least I wouldn't think anyone with any type of marketing sense would. So what would be a good name? ACT.

Just ACT. (Could be used for exclusive game adverts)
Be a part of the ACTion.
Be ACTive in your games.
Instead of playing your game, experience the ACTion.

See, it would be a simple name, yet it would catch people's attention WITHOUT putting them off. Also, it would be easy to inject the name into marketing, such as above, and also is easy to remember. Another benefit is that the name is simple to say, being only one syllable. Best of all, it can easily be used to talk about the system's different play style, because the ACT is about interACTing with games like never before, ACTually controlling the game through simple ACTions.

I know it is slim to none that we'd see this happen, but it would be nice.
