I'm planning on upgrading my AMD 64 X2 4000 to this AMD 64 X2 5800. My question is since ive never changed a cpu before is there anything i should know before i do this? I've built my own computer so i know how to install one just not sure if i need to do something before i take out the old and put in the new. I also realize that the processor is an OEM so i need to buy the fan etc but it seems like a good deal considering it comes with GRID for free in a bundle. Anything i should know before doing this? BTW here is my mobo.

I figured out a solution by changing my resolution using Nvidia Control Panel to a resolution supported by the game. That makes my desktop weird looking but the game looks great so I'll only use that when i play madden...thanks for your help

Madden 08 will not display properly at any resolution higher than 640x480 without the bottom being cropped off of my TV which has a native resolution of 1360x768. Madden 08 claims to be capable of running in widescreen resolutions but its ridiculous that i have to play it in 640x480 and not even anything closer since it looks horrible. Any ideas on what I'm probably missing or what i could try?

I've got an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000 Brisbane Processor and a Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 Motherboard and was overclocking my cpu just to hold me off from getting a new processor. I reached ~2.55GHz from the original ~2.1GHz and am pretty happy with that but i see in the customer reviews on newegg that people were reaching 2.8GHz. If i try to go any higher my system becomes unstable. My question is, is my motherboard holding me back from reaching these speeds or what can be the issue? *Note* Im new to OCing and i haven't touched the voltage going to the cpu, im just looking for info or tips.
