I have both, but I personally like Facebook a lot more. It's cleaner and better-organized, once you get used to their system (which, admittedly, can take a little while). I find it easier to stay in touch with my friends on it through FB Chat (as I reserve MSN for only my closest friends, this lets me IM the other people that I know), status updates (kind of like twitter, only you can comment on them) and the Wall (public comments left on friends' pages). The main drawback is that people will spam you to join various applications on Facebook, however, you can just block those requests.

Myspace, I find, doesn't have as many useful features for getting in touch with people. It's alright if you want to design layouts for yourself, but personally I find deviantART to be better if you're a graphic designer.

My advice? Try both out for a couple weeks and see which one works better for you.

I loved all the novels, personally. They provide some really interesting backstory to the games. They flesh out the characters a lot more and really show you where they all came from. I even did enjoy The Flood, though obviously my opinion is not universal. Fall of Reach is the best, imo. Poor thing is so abused... The spine of my copy has actually cracked in two; I use packing tape to hold it all together.

If I'm making fun of the government yes.

All other uses, no.

I really don't get how anyone thought the French would care what we name our fried potatoes. They originated in Belgium, anyways....

Wow, I thought for sure that I would walk into a wall of flamers when I came in here, but this topic is actually pretty civilized so far.

You're certainly not alone. While I am a big Halo fan myself, I do have many friends that dislike the game. Common complaints revolve around the story and the speed of gameplay. Personally, I happen to like both (though I've also read the novels, so that may factor into my enjoyment of the story) and think that the world is well fleshed-out and the combat is very well-balanced. However, I will freely admit that, especially on larger multiplayer maps, I can spend a lot of time wondering where the heck everyone else went, only to get shot down by some random sniper. And I definitely had a wtf moment at the end of the second game ("wait... so that's it?" -controllerthrow-). It's all just a matter of preference.

Girls are actually really easy to talk to, just start of with small talk relevant to whatever youre doing at the time and from there it can build on.
Thessassin

Agreed. It's pretty surprising how deep you can get off of just small talk. Just start with a pleasant "how was your day" or "how's life" (I fail to see how saying "how's life" is lame, my friends and I use it all the time). Be sincere and empathetic. Be interested in her; if she's doing good, ask what's up. If she's doing bad, ask if she would mind talking about it. That's general conversation advice, really.

As for actually talking to her, follow Yoda's sage advice: do or do not, there is no try. As people have said, if you dwell on trying it, it's not gonna happen. Just go up to her and talk. You can do it!

I usually don't care too much. I figure that if I don't have to go back to read it, it's fine by me. Typically if I do have a problem with someone else's grammar, it's because they were using enigma-level leet speak and someone has already called them out anyways.

i thought there was an age limit on tattoos?SaintLeonidas

Often there is a limit, but it can be done with parental consent.

Wait, so does that mean that this guy's parents consented to the tattoo?

That game made me hate switches with a passion unequaled by just about anything else, ever.

Well, I don't think people like KOTOR enough. Out of the twelve people that have already replied as of this reload, only eight liked it the best. geez, Bioware really needs to step it up!

(^being ironic, in case there's any doubt)
