You sound like one of those do-gooders who do nothing but whine about something they feel is wrong. It's a game, if you don't like violent games, play something else.

Venom_Raptor

I hope that you play all the violent games that you can. So that you don't do any of that stuff in reality since you must get out that hatred and inner violent behavior through video games. Its quite healthy actually, that you do it in video games so that it doesn't build up inside over time.

Oh, and I am a do-gooder that lifts.

That's pathetic. You think because I'm not turned away by pixelised violence, and expect realism when there is violence in games, that I have mental problems of something and have to vent out rage of some kind? Is that what you're implying?

Actually, yes. But most gamers may be that way. I mean, why does our species love violence so much? Its everywhere. I would like to hear your reasons.

Yes.

And did you enjoy it?

No, not really. I thought that one sucked.

There's nothing wrong with violence in games. If GTA didn't allow you to kill pedestrians it'd be stupid. When I shoot someone in a game I expect blood. Developers aren't disturbed purely because they showcase violence strongly.

Venom_Raptor

You get enjoyment over that stuff? Gotta wonder about that. Even though it is fake, still... what is wrong with our species.

You get enjoyment over that stuff? Sad that violent video games have to cure the cravings of our inner violent nature. Quite sad when you think about it.

Lol. I've beaten Mass Effect 3, Red Dead, Skyrim and a plethora of modern games lately. Never said I didn't play modern games, friend.

Lol, those beat em ups you mentioned pretty much suck ass. Streets of Rage and Final Fight in general trounce them. Better yet, Batman Returns on the SNES is better. Oh, and the classic arcade beat em ups such as Caddillacs and Dinosaurs, Punisher, Knights of the Round, King of Dragons etc, all destroy those games that you mentioned. Oh boy, come on gramm, you can do better than that. Brawlers from the 90s obliterate the beat em ups out now. If you disagree, then I question your taste in games. Better yet, any 90s capcom/konami brawler is much better. Since you are in your 30s, I question if you just didn't play games from back then, if so, then I pity you friend.

I'm sorry, but Scott Pilgrim and Castle Crashers..... LOL!

JustPlainLucas
Just out of curiosity, did you ever play River City Ransom?

Yes.

Pretty sure he's just trolling, and that replying to him is absolutely pointless.

ReddestSkies
Not really. I pretty much gave evidence that beat em ups from the good ol days are much better than the ones out now. That's all, friend.

Yeah... because all developers get to choose exactly what game they work on. They decide everything about their games, after all. Not the designers, or the publishers, or the marketing department. Just the developers. And they're all **** crazy.

Violent games get made because violent games sell. The industry is a business.

boredom_kills

Well, there has to be a start and a root somewhere. Not saying they're necessarily crazy, just maybe there are some deep troubles inside of them

Yes it does sell, makes you wonder about humanity and its double standards. Not only that, but the hypocrisy of it all.

"the best endings can be achieved with 5,000 military strength)." Wrong. After the Extended Cut, the best ending can be achieved at just 3100 EMS.001011000101101

Wrong. Even if you are talking about the Extended Cut updates, 3100 will get you the
"Shepard Lives"
scene but you still need 4000 or better
for more of the crew to survive the crash in the Destroy and Control endings
. Depending on which choices you made and
whether or not you saved Anderson
you may also need an EMS higher than 3100 to get that final scene.

-Byshop

Sorry, but you're still wrong. Play the game again, and you'll see the 3100 EMS ending gives you all of the above. I've played the game 10 times, I know what I'm talking about.

From the Mass Effect wiki: "Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut lowers the EMS required to achieve all possible endings from ~4000 to 3100." An EMS higher than 3100 won't add anything.

Agreed. You hit it on the money.
