I cannot condemn him for our current international image... However, I do admire an elected official that doesn't pull off an image of an undereducated aristocratic cowboy... And that is what the world sees him as. Thus, since he acts not only as our chief diplomat but also our head of state, that is how the world views us.

I have decided on the traditional staunton style and am willing to spend at most $600. I figure, if I'm going to buy a set that I plan to keep the rest of my life, I might as well get a good one...

Since I am in the higher price range, of course, I'm going for ebony.

I live near New York (abouttwo hours away), where I could travel to the largest chess store in the United States. Which is quite convenient.

As of now, I am looking at Mark of Westminster chess sets only. I am curious if anyone has a better suggestion. I'm quite content with ebony and the staunton style, now I just need to choose from a manufacturer.

It's a tie between Unreal 4 and Perfect Dark Zero... I still haven't finished either of the games... I want to though, so I feel I got my money's worth. Unfortunately, I don't really have the time, and if I am messing with games, it's Gears of War and Viva Pinata!
