@jimdotbeep I think you are both right. But to be honest, I'd rather have reviewers who look upon games objectively, rather than having reviewers who are total fanboys of every game and thus, give every Star Wars, Resident Evil, Mario or in this case Duck Tales game a higher rating just because they remeber it from their past. They have to focus on what the game is like today without any bonuses.
@jimdotbeep Still it would be unfair if this game would get a special "look upon it" just because it was "suppose to stay like games were in the 90's". If these flaws are no real flaws to you because you wanted a game which mechanics are exactly like very old Jump and Run games then have fun with it but I think it is wrong to be angry about a low rating just because you think the reviewer should ignore negative aspects that in no other game would be rated as "good"
I think for many people it is also the world that would change because of the zombies and the pure fight for survival that they would find so appealing, this goes hand in hand with the idea that Zombies would be something almost anyone could kill/attack, other than a fight against a human in which most of those people, who would like to live in a world full of survival and zombies, would lose or be afraid to get hurt. And as an answer to a lot of people here who call zombies just another fling and that they will be gone soon: Well, yeah, maybe they will be but that doesn't mean that they aren't fun in video games or that it is stupid to like this hype. I always enjoy a good zombie game (if it is not RE 4-6) Most are mixed with pretty good ideas and sometimes like in The walking dead for example make us think about ourselves and the people around us.
They turned one of the best franchises in video game history (Resident Evil) into an uninspiring, stupid action splatter game that can only be linked to the first games with a huge amount of imagination. The only thing they can add to a Resident Evil 7 are wizards and demonlords who wear magic rings and try to darken the sun... These 37 percent are hopefully a message well received!
I do not care about friends lists or most of the other community features... And be honest 1000 - 2000 friends? That's completely nuts! Even IF you're important enough to really get to know 2000 different people who all wanna play with you, where ever would you find the time? I still prefer the PS4 but definitely NOT because of a bgger friendslist...
