Midnight releases can be store specific depending on what the district manager or local nintendo reps think about it. If the system gets enough reserves it can qualify for a midnight release for that store even if there was not a pre-planned one.
I don't know why anyone would have a problem with connecting to a Wi-Fi enabled router with the DSI unless the router is extremely old. On the wikipedia it says that the DSi supports 802.11 wifi standard. Now it does not tell us if it is a, b, g, or n but im guessing that the DSi being so new will support b, g, and possibly n.
The router isn't the one that picks up the DSi, it is the DSi that has to be able to pick up the router. If the router is connected to a laptop/other device with a manually setup connection then it is possible that you couldn't connect to a router because it is not broadcasting its SSID (connection name). In which case you would have to manually setup the connection also on your DS to connect to the router.
I think we all need to cuss more. . . not less. . . I mean. . . cussing reduces stress and is good for getting a point across.

But seriously. WTF Microsoft. . . when I first downloaded the NXE it froze before it even finished setting up afterwards. . . Does Microsoft even know how to code anymore? I got so made at NXE when I first loaded it that I threw my controller at the XBOX. . . not the wall. . . not the TV. . . the thing I actually care about. . . Still works. . . but still. . . They need to take the cartoony feel away from the Avatars. . .
